From my perspective, being a vampire was neither a curse; nor was it a blessing. At first you feel invisible. As if you could snap your fingers and the world would be on their knees for you. Its intoxicating. Strength no human could ever hope to know. Your body tingles at the adrenaline rush.

This feeling last only a couple seconds until everything else around you recoils once before slamming back into you full force.

Heightened sensibility. A street light from 4 blocks down suddenly becomes blinding. Your head throbs violently as the sounds of laughter, footsteps, breathing; all become deafening.

You can hear, can feel, the rhythmic thudding of heartbeats belonging to everyone around you. The noise is maddening.

"Fuck." I hiss out in a pained whisper. I clinch my hands over my ears, as if that motion could will everything to stop. Thick tears slide down my cheeks and I inhale a potent metalic scent.

"Y/N? W-whats happening?"

[A/N]: Hi! I know the whole vampire 'genre' has been....overdone to say the least. My goal is not to add another pretentious blood-sucker-fic into the world. Please don't take this story too seriously, I promise it will be a fun ride (first few chapters will be more serious). I prefer to write stories with comedic undertones and lots of fluff instead of simple dark melancholy. Thank you for reading!
