BRAELYNN'S POV:
The first place we went was Lowes to look at paint for the nursery, and Shaelynn brought up a good point on the way up there. She thought it would be a good idea to call Luke and have him there when we picked out the stuff like the paint. Just to make site we got everything we needed to paint.
I had mentioned to Luke I wanted each baby to have there initials painted over their crib, but I had no idea what kind of paintbrushes Luke would need, or which stencils worked better.
Luke agreed to meet us at Lowes, and when he got there Shaelynn and I were looking at paint samples. They had a special section with colors geared towards nurseries. I specifically liked the mint green, rose, and grey.
Luke liked my idea of doing the wall mint green, and making a rose colored circle for the monogramming to be in, and then doing the actually monogramming in grey.
The way I wanted the monogramming done it almost makes a circle shape, I don't like all the curly monogramming, they are block letters that fit together to almost make a circle.
I asked Luke if he wanted to go over to Babies-R-Us with us just to help with picking out the stroller, car seats, and cribs. And then he could go home while Shaelynn and I got the rest of the stuff.
He agreed so after we bought the paint and supplies we headed to Babies-R-Us, Luke drove separately so he could to home.
When we got there we looked at strollers first, we found this one that was a double stroller, and it had the place for car seats to sit in, and it had mint colored trim, and it also converts to a stroller they can use as toddlers.
Next we got 2 car seats that fit in the stroller with mint colored trim and got mint colored blankets to go over them.
After that we went to the cribs. And of course Luke was checking to see how sturdy the cribs and dressers were. We finally settled on a crib that was white and had the looks of a sleigh bed on the long side that would be facing out. It came with a dresser, that was a good size. So we made sure the people understood we wanted two.
After that Luke left, and Shaelynn and I looked for a changing table. We found one that was white to match the furniture.
Off to bedding!!!
For Ryleigh we found some really cute orange bedding, and for Rhayden we found some adorable yellow bedding.
We bought bottles, a breast pump, and some other things we needed.
