Some people see their ideal date as being in a fancy restaurant dressed in fancy clothing and drinking that fancy, extremely expensive, wine. Sitting there with their significant other with a fake smile laughing at as much as they can just to make it look like they're having fun even if they're not, just because it's what they see in that cheesy romance where the girl falls for the boy after the first date.
That is a date that some people dream of, some people being the ones who have it all and expect the world.
But that's not for me.
I crave something very different. Something......real.
My ideal date, is to just be with the person I love. We don't even have to be doing something, we could simply be together.
On the couch at his house, just laying there, playstation controllers in both our hands, wrapped in a fluffy blanket, his arms around my waist, playing games and annoying each other in a cheeky playful way. like me covering his eyes when he's just about to snipe me in Call Of Duty. Or him messing with my controller as I walk near lava in Minecraft.
Those little moments, those precious little giggles and smirks and attacking each other when one of us wins and the other loses, those are the moments I treasure. Not dressing up, not going out to fancy places, just relaxing and being ourselves in each others company.
When I'm with him, cuddling up to keep warm, watching Netflix and eating Doritos, I feel happy. I feel safe. I feel that in that moment, I'd stay for the rest of my life. In his arms, that's my home, that's where I belong. And it gives me shivers and makes me smile knowing that I've found him. That's my one, my soul mate.
Even when we are both too tired to stay up and watch a movie, or to play PlayStation, and we fall asleep, I love that. Falling asleep with his arms wrapped around me. That's what I live for, those moments. being able to close my eyes, and when I open them again, he's there, laying underneath me, breathing softly, his eyes still closed. Sometimes when I open my eyes he's staring at me, admiring me, and he smiles as I look up at him, which in turn makes me smile. I love that. Just seeing him. That makes it special.
That's my ideal date.
