Kaye's POV:
I woke up by the sound of my alarm clock, and once I opened my eyes it was greeted by the yellow shine of light from the sun.
I looked at myself in the mirror and I looked horrible, my eyes were puffy and red, and I looked somewhat pale.
I was crying myself to sleep.
And the thought went in my head once more -- the thought of living with my dad.
I looked at the picture on my side table, it was the picture of my mother, "mom if you were here, I'm sure you wouldn't let this happen" I said while looking at the picture, and wiped a unknowingly tear from my cheek.

After taking a bath I went to the cabinet and get my outfit for school, and took my glasses so that no one would know I cried all night.
And ate my breakfast and went out of my apartment, when I went out the door I saw Ronnie waiting for me, "Good morning, baby" he said with a charming smile.
It made me smile as well, but made me tear up too, because I know that it was face I was gonna miss when I leave.
Ronnie looked at me in shock when he saw me tearing up, "Kaye, babe, what's the matter? Did I say something wrong?" He said in total concern.
"No babe, you didn't, I - I'm just happy to sti- see you today" and I smiled, Ronnie chuckled "babe, you see me everyday".
And with that we walked going to school.

We went to class, and there were already students running around, and to my surprise, they didn't mind me going inside the classroom, no papers thrown, no people laughing at me, and no milk cartons thrown at me.
"Wow" I said under my breathe, "what?" Ronnie asked in confusion, "n-nothing" I stuttered.
Minutes after, I saw our teacher come in, and starting the lessons, 'tell the teacher Kaye' I said to myself.
I'll tell the teacher.

An hour later, the school bell rang, a sign that first period is finished.
I went running outside to see my teacher, "ma'am, may I please have a word?" The teacher agreed instantly, "what is it about Ms.Park?" She asked.
I let out a heavy sigh "ma'am, I'm leaving school next sem. I'll be in the states, may you please help me for my other forms for this school, to leave?" I said in one breathe, my heart was beating fast I said, because this teacher in front of me is the teacher who treats me like her own.
"Oh, Kaye, dear, whats with the sudden decision?" She said and I could see the hurt in her eyes, "ma'am they said I'm going to leave with my father" and I whispered the last word, father.
She was already crying, "okay, Kaye I'll help you with your forms, go in now, class is starting" and she walked to her next class.
Ronnie's POV:
"Ma'am I'm leaving school next sem. I'll be in the states may you please help me for my other forms in school, to leave?" She said, and in that statement of hers, my heart instantly broke.
My world suddenly stopped moving, and people around me are gone, and all noise went mute.
The love of my life is leaving me.

The bell rang and it's time to go inside the classroom.
"Ronnie, where have you been?" She asked me innocently, "I just went to the washroom" and smile to hide all the disappointment.
I sat beside her and smiled "You babe, where did you go?" I asked as I tucked her hair behind her ear, "ugh... I went to my locker to get my books" lie
I was supposed to say something when the teacher appeared, and class started.
The teacher was talking about lessons, and formulas, but my mind was somewhere else, I was looking at Kaye while writing notes on her notebook.

An hour later the bell rang and we were on our way to the cafeteria, "Kaye can we talk?" I asked, I needed to clarify the things I've heard a moment ago.
"Sure" she answered

We're now outside the cafeteria, where more tables were, "Kaye why didn't you tell me?" I asked, and I was mad.
"Tell you what, babe?" She asked.
"Don't act like you don't know what I mean"
"Ron, what are you talking about?"
I let out a heavy sigh.
"Why didn't you tell me you were leaving"
And she stood there, with an open mouth but nothing to say, she stood there in the verge of tears, "Ronnie, I'm sorry" and finally the tears are now running down her cheeks.
"Ronnie, sorry I didn't really want to tell you, because I didn't want to leave you" and after that she now was on the ground crying quietly, I didn't want to see her like that, she was my sunshine, my light when it was getting dark, my home, and the pathway to happiness.
"Kaye, babe, please don't cry"
"Please don't break up with me"
When she said those two words, I was confused, why did she think I'll ever break up with her? She was my everything.
"Babe, don't ever, ever say such thing, I won't break up with you, I promise" I hugged her tight, and she sobbed onto my shirt.

Skip school
We're now done with school, and I'm now walking her home. "So.. when do you leave?" I asked her, "next month, when this semester ends" she said while looking on the ground.
"That soon?" I whined, "yes, Ronnie, that soon" she pinched my nose and smiled.
We arrived at her house, and I can't get it off my mind that she'll be leaving in a month, she's my first love, and I could never forget her.
