Jungkook has grown used to this familiar scene.

He presses his boot against the monster's neck, rolling his eyes as it continued to hiss out threats and profanities. These are the most annoying to deal with, he thinks: the type that still act high and mighty even when they're close to death.

"Goodbye, you filthy motherfucker." He speaks without remorse as he grins darkly, pressing his gun against the man's temple. With bared fangs he spews out some nasty remark about the hunter's mother. Jungkook has finally had enough, a bored expression on his face as he pulls the trigger. Finally, the man immediately goes limp. His face drains of all color.

"What?" Jungkook mutters, dropping the lifeless corpse to the ground. "Nothing to say?"

His pupils roll into the back of his head.

"What a shame..." Jungkook mutters, chuckling. Slowly, the man's body starts to crack, and the raven haired boy can't help but smile as he watches the man's ashes float away into the wind.

He wipes away sweat from his brow and pulls out a cigarette as he watches his partner, who's walking towards him.

"Found any?" Yoongi asks as he watches his friend light up the cigarette. He pulls it away from the boy's lips and, without hesitation, stomps on it with his boot.

"Cigarettes are expensive, you dipshit!" Jungkook seethes, annoyed. Yoongi rolls his eyes, smacking him upside the head.

"So is having cancer. I got three. Did you find the other four Namjoon said was in the area?" Still annoyed with the loss of his cigarette, Jungkook nods, a scowl still on his face. Yoongi grabs his phone and dials Namjoon.

Behind him, Jungkook pulls out another cigarette.

When he first started hunting vampires, he was alone. It was Namjoon that found him hidden away in the woods, with nothing but a bloody wooden stake and a family photo on him.

Namjoon's heart ached when he had seen how small and clueless Jungkook was, and immediately he took him in and trained him to become one of the best hunters in the business. After months of training he was partnered with Min Yoongi, a man five years his senior.

Despite the two barely speaking to each other at the start, they soon became inseparable as soon as Yoongi warmed up to him. After all, Jungkook has saved his life more times than he's proud to admit.

Neither Namjoon nor Yoongi knows why Jungkook had been alone in the woods, or why he was- and still is- so passionate about killing vampires, but that doesn't matter to them.

What matters to them is that he's damn good at what he does, so here he stands, trying desperately to get his lighter to work despite the cool wind blowing against him.

"Yah, Jungkook."

Upon hearing Yoongi's voice Jungkook sighs, dropping his cigarette on the ground and crushing it with his heel. He looks up at the older boy to see him still holding his phone up to his ear, probably still reporting back to Namjoon.

"How many did you get?" Yoongi asks, annoyance clear in his voice as he repeats his question again.

"I got the other four, which is one more than you managed to find. Guess that means you're paying for my dinner tonight." Jungkook grins cheekily.

Yoongi can only roll his eyes in response, relaying what he had said to Namjoon (leaving out the part about dinner, of course.)

"We're on our way back now. There were only seven in this area, right? What about you? Where are you and Hoseok?"
