Emily's POV*
"We need to talk" we both said in unison.
My heart starting to speed up and my hands were beginning to become sweaty.
Grayson nodded his head and gave me a weak smile. He opened the door wider for me to walk in.
We both walked in and Maddie whispered in my ear "I'll be in Ethan's room. Call if you need me".
I smiled at her and me and Grayson walked into his room.
We sat down on his bed. "You go first" I said to him.
"No you. Yours seems more important right now" he said gazing into my eyes.
I took a shaky breath. "Okay" I replied. He placed his large hand over my small one, picking it up. He ran his thumb over my knuckles sending a warm sensation all over my body.
How can I break up with him when he does stuff like this.
I looked up and him and fiddled with my fingers. He gave me a small nod motioning for me to say what I needed to say.
"Gray I don't know if I can do this" I spoke so quietly I don't even know if he actually heard it.
Grayson's eyebrows furrowed. "What do you mean?" He asked.
"I can't do this anymore" I said motioning to the both of us. "Do us anymore"
"A-are you breaking up with me?" He stuttered. "I mean technically were not together but-"
"I'm sorry Grayson. I just can't" I whispered, bearly audible.
"I don't understand" he said looking up at me. "I thought you were happy. I thought I made you happy"
"You did Gray and still do. It's not at all you it's me. I just can't do this anymore" I said as a tear rolled down my face.
His face was filled with saddness.
"Goodbye Grayson" I said getting up quickly and running out of his room.
"Emily wait. Please!" I heard him call after me.
"Grayson I'm sorry" I said back to him.
I walked quickly down the hall wiping the tears forming in my eyes but was stopped when I bumped into someone.
I looked up and saw Ethan looking down at me smiling. "Sorry E" I said.
"It's okay" he said. "Why are you in such a rush. You just got here" He asked.
"Oh uh" I stuttered. "Did Grayson say something to you? Did he-" he said but I cut him off.
"Ethan! He didn't do anything" I said as a small chuckle left my lips. "I-I actually broke up with Gray" I said quietly, looking down at my feet.
"What? Why? I thought you two were happy together." He said as his face formed a frown.
I sighed. "I don't wanna talk about E. Tell Mads I'm going home" I said as a gently pushed past him.
He grabbed my wrist and pulled my back to him. "I'm not letting you walk home in the dark. C'mon I'll drive you" He said smiling at me.
"E you don't have to" I said shaking my head.
"No buts. Let's go" he said pulling me into his room.
"Hey Mads I'm taking Em home I'll be back in like 20" Ethan said to Madison who was sitting on his bed.
She looked up from her phone and her face filled with pity. She quickly got up off the bed and ran over to me, engulfing me into a hug causing the tears i was holding in to fall freely.
"I know, I know. It's okay." She said rubbing my back in comfort.
"Thanks Maddie" I said pulling away. Ethan placed a hand on my shoulder give it a gently squeeze. "C'mon I'll take you home" he said grabbing my hand.
I nodded and said goodbye to Madison. We walked out of the room and past Grayson's. "Hey gray. I'm taking Em home I'll see you in a few" Ethan said popping his head in the door.
Grayson lifted his head out of my hands and looked up at the two of us. I looked away from his gaze and turned my attention to my feet.
"Okay" He said lowly. I looked up at him and he was already staring at me. I immediately felt guilty. I mouthed an 'I'm sorry'.
He nodded his head in response and turned away from the both of us. Ethan gave me a simpathetic look and we both walked out of the room.
Ethan grabbed his keys and we walked out of their house. We hopped into Ethan's, very expensive, car and he pulled out of the house.
"So do you wanna talk about it..." Ethan said quickly glancing at me.
I sighed. "Not really. I just had to do it" I said and he nodded his head.
"Tell me about you and Maddie" I said making him immediately smile and the mention of her name. They are too cute I swear.
"Where do I begin with Madison. She's a real character" he said and I laughed.
"She definitely is" I said smiling to myself.
"Well.." he started.

"Thanks for the ride Ethan" I said as he pulled up.
"No problem Em. Now are you sure you're gonna be okay?" He asked me.
I nodded my head. "Yes I'm gonna be fine. Now get back to Madison before she starts bugging Grayson" I said chuckling.
He laughed. "Okay goodnight" he said and I got out of the car. "Love you" He said giving me the middle finger.
I laughed. "Love you too loser" I said sticking my tongue out at him. I shut the door and walked away.
I strolled up to our room and unlocked the door. I threw myself down on the very uncomfortable bed.
I grabbed my phone of my back pocket and opened messages.

Me: It's done

Brianna: It's about time slut. Didn't think you had it in you
11:31pm
Me: Oh go fuck yourself Brianna. I didn't what you told me to. You got what you wanted so just shut up and leave me alone.

Brianna: Oh sweetheart this is just the beginning.
Reading that last texts made my blood boil. I threw my phone across the room not caring if it broke or not.
I made the right choice breaking up with Grayson.
Right?
