I woke up to the intercom coming on. "Time to wake up. It's a new day for a new class trial." Monokuma announced. I sighed as I sat up and got off my bed. I walked over to the door and took my jacket off the coat-hanger and put it on myself. I walked out of my room and lock it with my key. Jade and Vera were talking before they saw me and smiled at me, waving. "Madeline, you are awake. Great, I heard that Dixie was to do a check up on everyone day." Jade said. "Is it mandatory?" I asked still a bit sleepy. "No, but I think she could find something out. She allows people to come with someone if they don't want to do alone." Vera explained. "I may just go then," I said. "Do you mind if I could join you? I noticed your reaction from yesterday." Vera asked.
"No, I don't mind. Is breakfast already being served?" I asked. Jade nodded and turned around. "Follow me," Jade said as she started walking off with me and Vera following in pursuit. She led me to the cafeteria and I saw that breakfast was being served similar to a buffet. I walked over and took a muffin, hash browns, two boiled eggs, and some coffee. I sat down next to Nate, Jade, and Vera. "Have you notice Cornie change his hat from Navy blue to a light blue?" Vera asked. "He said he trying something new," Nate said. That was unexpected, he could be grieving? I quickly noticed who was sitting next to who. Henry was sitting with Renee and Travis. Dixie was with King, Rosealyn, and Collin. Cornie was with Jason and Eliza. I also noticed that no one had a smile on their face. "Look like everyone is trying to recover from yesterday," Jade said. I nodded as I tried to just focus on eating and not worry about everyone or anything else.
Dixie stood up at her table with King, keeping her balance. "Everyone listens up," Dixie yelled. Everyone got silence and stared at her. " Thank you. After breakfast, I will be in the nurse office, checking everyone up. If you feel uncomfortable with going by yourself, please do bring someone. I will keep the reports of everyone in the drawer. That's all I have to say." Dixie announced then she sat down. I finished my cup of coffee, feeling refreshed and awake. I stood up and took my plate and mug to the kitchen. I walked over to the sink and washed my dishes. I looked over and grabbed a rag, drying the dishes. After I finished putting the dishes away. I walked back to my seat. I felt someone's shoulder bumped into me. I looked up to see it was Henry. "Watch where you're going, traitor." Henry snapped at me. Why was he so against me? I did nothing to him at all.
"I am not the traitor. I have done nothing wrong to you." I said, making everyone look at us. "Says the one who was supposed to keep us together but fails so badly..." Henry said. I clenched my right hand into a fist in anger. "What? Is the traitor trying to come up with a lie?" Henry mocked. Oh, he unleashed it! I opened my hand and slapped Henry in the face, making his glasses fall off. Everyone gasped in shock. Henry looked at me and there was a dark red mark on his face where I slapped him. "I dislike your god damn attitude right now! You need to understand that I can't control everyone because everyone is their own person!" I snapped as I rolled the sleeve of my jacket, revealing the rest of my glove. I tugged on the end of my glove that was ended at the inside of my elbow, fixing it. Henry's eyes were just widened as he tried to think of something to say. "I don't want to hear it. You weren't the one who had to deal with many people's shit!" I said in anger. I looked over at Dixie. "If you could, please send someone to get me from my room when it's my turn." I requested. "Alright," Dixie said. "Thank you," I said as I looked back at Henry. "Now, I expect you to leave me alone unless you are going to apologize," I said as I turned around. "Farewell..." I said as I walked out of the dining hall.
I went to my room and waited as long as I could. Finally, someone knocked on my door. I walked over and opened my door. It was Nate at the door. "Madeline, it's your turn. Do you want to talk about what happened?" Nate asked. "I'm alright, I just want this day to be finished," I said. "Are you sure? I'm here for you." Nate said. "I'm alright, can we go now?" I asked. Nate sighed and nodded. "Let go then just know I'm always here if you want to talk." Nate offered. He led me to the nurse office, refusing to leave me be. "I'll be fine. Dixie wouldn't hurt a soul without a really good reason." I said. "I'm staying, you may not be telling me your feelings but you need someone right now," Nate said. I sighed knowing that he would not leave me alone.
