Izland stood in shock as she read the test. Positive. She started to sob as she sat down and pulled her knees to her chest. It's my last year in college, why now, why not next year, she thought. Soon she heard a knock on the door. "Are you ok in there?", she heard Lander ask from the other side of the door. "I'm fine, I'll be out in a minute". Izland stood up and wiped her eyes. She would tell Lander over supper.

As supper time came, she got nervous. Would he leave her?? What would he say?? "Time to eat!", Lander called from the kitchen. "Coming", Izland mumbled. "Feeling better?" Lander asked as she entered the kitchen. "Much", she replied as she sat down at the bar. They ate in silence, as Izland shoved food into her mouth. The more she ate, the more felt hungry. She felt like she wanted to eat the house, inside and out. She was startled when he broke the silence. "Is something bothering you?", Lander asked while shoving a piece of chicken in his mouth. "Why do you ask?" "You just seem off", he replied looking concerned. "Actually, I need to tell you something", Izland said while fidgeting with her napkin. "What is it?", Lander asked while walking to put his plate in the sink. "I'm pregnant".
