I felt the car stop then Hayes picked me up and started walking somewhere. I felt him talk to some people since my head is against his chest I felt the vibrations of him talking.
He sat down and I only know this because his arms that were holding me up were now replaced by his legs. He removed a headphone again
"Go to sleep babygirl" he said. He put the headphone back in and kissed my cheek. I did as told and fell asleep.

I was shaken awake by someone. I opened my eyes to see that I had the blindfold off and headphones out. I was in a car and it was only me and Hayes
"Morning princess" he chuckled
"Did I sleep through the entire flight?" I asked
"And security. And baggage claim. And the car ride" he said. I rubbed my eyes
"Come on but close your eyes" he said. I got out of the car and closed my eyes. Hayes led my somewhere.
"Now open your eyes" he said. I opened my eyes and it took a second for them to adjust.
Standing infront of me was Liz,Johnnie,will,Jeanne who was holding Ellie and sky. We're in North Carolina and I couldn't be happier
"LINDSEY" sky yelled. She ran up to me and tackled me in a hug. Ellie was running too. I picked them both up and fell to the ground. I held them on my lap and I just lost it and started crying. 
I hugged them both and gave them millions of kisses all over their faces making them giggle.
"Why are you crying?" Sky asked me
"Its been a long day but now that I'm with you guys none of that matters any more" I smiled. I kissed her head and then I kissed Ellie's head. They stood up and Hayes pulled me up
"Get over here munchkins" Hayes said as he picked up sky and Ellie. They both giggled and hung onto him.
"Hey there honey how are you?" Johnnie asked hugging me
"I'm fantastic now How about you?" I asked
"I'm doin good" he smiled. I hugged Liz
"I missed you so much baby doll" she said
"I missed you more" I said. We pulled away and I hugged Jeanne
"How are you sunshine?" She asked
"Before I came here not too great but now that I'm here none of that matters" I said. She smiled And hugged me
"And what about me?" Will asked
"I could never forget about you big bear" I said. I wrapped him in a hug and he kissed my head.
He let me go and I turned to Hayes who was now sitting on the ground playing with sky and Ellie. I smiled at them
"You like him don't you" will said nudging my arm. I looked at him
"He's my best friend"I said
"So do you look at of your best friends with a special twinkle in your eyes,a big smile on your face and rosy cheeks?" Jeanne asked.
"Shhh" I blushed.
"You do like him" she said in a 'a-ha' tone
"I'm leaving this conversation" I said. I walked over
"Lindsey hold him down" sky laughed. I straddled his lower stomach. He had his knees bent up so I leaned back against his knees.
"Ah you got me" Hayes said as he gave up to make the girls think they won.
Ellie giggled as they both began to tickle him. I smiled down at them. Hayes looked up at me and smiled and winked.
"Girls let's go inside and let Hayes and Lindsey talk" Liz said. Sky and Ellie ran to the group and they all walked inside.
Hayes intertwined our fingers and rested his elbows on the ground so his biceps were flat against the ground but his forearms were up straight. I don't know if that made sense but whatever.
"Thank you for this Hayes. I really needed it" I said
"I know you did that's why I did it" he said as he lightly rubbed the side of my thumbs with his thumbs
We kinda just sat there looking at each other
"Hayes" I said
"Yes beautiful" he said
"I'm scared" I said
"Of what?" He asked
"Falling in love with my best friend" I said quietly. His eyes met mine
"There's nothing to be scared about" he said
"I feel like a whore. Shawn broke u with me less than 24 hours ago and I already think I'm in love with someone else" I said
"It doesn't make you a whore. That just means that this other person that you think you love means a lot more to you than you thought they did. Now that your single you can do what you think is right. And I'll support you 100%" he said.
"Hayes" I said
"Hmm" he said
"I think Im in love you" I said
"Well that's good because I know I'm in love with you" he said
"Did we really just became those cheesy people that confess their undying love to each other after a surprise?" I asked.
"We did babygirl" he chuckled. I groaned
"Can we take things slow?" I asked
"Of course we can" he said.
I smiled
"I haven't been here in so long" I said looking around at everything while the wind gently blew my hair back
"I know" Hayes said.
"I can't believe how big sky and Ellie are" I said
"It's crazy" Hayes said.
"It sure is" I said. I looked at him.
"Your so beautiful" he said quietly.
"You know Grier. It's not good to lie" I said
"And it's not good to deny compliments" he said making me laugh.
"Is that so?" I asked. He nodded
"Looks like we both have things we need to work on" I said. He smiled that famous smile.
"Come on let's go inside" I said. I stood up and held my hand out to pull Hayes up. He grabbed my hand and I pulled him up with ease
"Okay muscle woman"he chuckled. I winked and he wrapped an arm around my waist. I leaned into him as we walked inside. I was instantly greeted by sky and Ellie again. I picked them both up and put them on each hip. It's already starting to get dark out. I looked st the time 6:58
"How about we have a fire and a cookout" Johnnie said. We all agreed
"Girlies why don't you go get changed into pajamas" I said putting them down. Sky ran upstairs and Taylor picked up Ellie and went upstairs.
"I CALL THE GRILL" me and Hayes yelled at the same time
"No" we said looking at each other
"Me" we said
"No me" we said.
"Fine how about this. You can turn the grill on and I'll cook" I said
"Noooo" he whined
"Too bad" I said. I grabbed the patties,hot dogs,buns,corn,shrimp and asparagus and walked outside to the grill. I turned it on and layed out the meat on one side and the corn and asparagus on the other. I put the shrimp on the center piece.
Sky cane running out and straight for the grill. I grabbed her by her waste and stopped her
"Don't run by the grill babygirl" I said. She nodded and ran down to the backyard with Nash and Taylor chasing her. I smiled. After a few minutes I rotated everything and flipped the burgers and shrimp. Arms wrapped around my waist
"It looks so good" Hayes whispered in my ear
"Mmm" I said
"Can you go get me the cheese?" I asked. He nodded and walked inside. He came back a few seconds later and placed the cheese on the table that's next to the grill.
Ellie tried climbing up the steps of the deck but couldn't
"Baby could you grab her before she falls" I said to Hayes. He leaned down and picked  her up
"Hello my princess" he said tickling her stomach
"Hey" I said.
"She's my princess. Your my queen" he said.
"Lucky me" I said.
I put cheese on the burgers for the last 15 seconds so it melted a little bit then I plated  everything
"Okay everyone go sit down" I announced. Everyone did as told. Hayes buckled Ellie into her high chair and I walked over with the plates stacked on my arms.
"Lindsey careful it's hot" Liz said concerned that I have hot plates on my arms
"I've burned,cut,scarred and broken my arms so many times I'm pretty sure that I've broken all of my nerves in them" I said placing the plates down on the table.
I sat in between Hayes and Nash. We all grabbed our food and made small talk while we ate.
"Alright let's go to the fire" Johnnie said when we all were done eating. We walked over to the fire pit and sat on the hay bails. I sat next to Hayes on one and everyone else was together.
He wrapped his arm around my waist. Nash and Taylor were across from us,the big flame separating. Will was tossing a football in the air and it came back down and hit him right in the face. I busted out laughing
"GOT IT" Nash yelled happily. He walked over with his camera and showed us the picture he took. I loved it. There was a little bit of the fire in it and if you looked past he flames you saw me and Hayes with the brightest smiles on our faces. The only thing is that while I was laughing and looking at will,Hayes was smiling while gazing at me with the most loving look on his face.
"I love it" I smiled.
Nash sat back in his seat. I started thinking about all the fucked up shit I've been through. This made me overthink.
"Hayes" I said quietly as everyone else was talking about something random
"Yes babygirl" He said
"Do you ever think about getting in your car and just driving. No turning back. No phone. No radio. Just driving and following the road without a care in the world?" I said quietly as I starred off into the fire
"Your overthinking aren't you?" He asked. I nodded. I looked at him
"I think that we've all had those moments where we overthink and just want to get into our car and drive away to try and make it all disappear. But sadly that's not how it works. You could drive for miles and miles but when you eventually return the problem is still going to be there and it could have gotten worse because we didn't stay to make things right. Instead we ran and tried to drive away from the problem which hypothetically speaking sounds like a fantastic idea but in reality that's not how it works" he said. He took a deep breath
"There are moments when I want to move back here to the farm and try to kinda just disappear from social media and everything but I don't because I know that it won't do anything. Id still go to the mall and get crowded by fans but they'd all just be crazier because they haven't heard from me in a while. But then I think of what I'd leave behind and if I'm willing to risk it. If I were to just stop social media and disappear then not only Would fans get upset but they'd start drama and I don't want that. I wouldn't meet the amazing people That I have. So sometimes yes I do feel like driving away from all of my problems but then I realize that it's not worth risking anything important to me. I'd be with my family again but then I wouldn't be with you" He said.
"I just want to escape from everything" I sighed quietly. He hugged me closer as I starred off at the fire again.
"I love you so much babygirl" Hayes whispered. I smiled
"I love you" I said looking at him.
He softly kissed me and I smiled into the kiss.
"COOTIES" tez and sky yelled. I laughed and pulled away from Hayes.
"That's gross" sky sassed
"What?this?" Hayes asked. He kissed all over my face then planted one loving kiss on my lips. I heard sky squeal.
I slowly pulled away but then Hayes pecked my lips again.
"I think Lindsey should sing" Taylor said
"I agree" Will said
"I don't sing" I said
"Come on mamas pleaseeeeeee" Hayes begged. I shook my head
"Nope" I said.
"Pleaseeeeeee" tez begged
"No" I chuckled
"Don't force the poor girl to sing" Liz said
"Thank you Liz" I said. She winked
"Alright kiddos it's bedtime for you two" Will said picking up sky and Ellie who already were half asleep. He took them inside.
"Can I play with your hair?" Hayes asked. I nodded and moved so I was on the ground leaning with my back against the hay bail. He gently ran his fingers through my hair making sure not to pull it. I rested my head back  as he massaged my head.
About 3 hours later I yawned and Hayes pulled me off he ground
"Tired?" He asked. I nodded.
"We're gunna head to bed" he said to everyone as he picked me up
"Goodnight" everyone said. I was too tired to respond. Hayes walked inside and up to his room. He layed us down and pulled the covers over us.
"Goodnight babygirl" he whispered
"Goodnight" I whispered back. Then I fell asleep
