"Remidal Goodness class?" You question when Ben gives you your new school schedule.

"Yeah."

"Why?"

"Because Fairy Godmother doesn't really appreciate your comments all the time." You nod stiffly, scoffing, before taking your schedule.

"Fine." Ben smiles lightly.

"Thank you." You roll your eyes, a small smile playing at your lips.

"Not for you, Ben." Ben nods.

"I know."

Let's put it this way, being the daughter of the Mad Hatter makes you seem kinda, mad. Not angry, mad, but crazy, mad. You're not as good and polite and you don't really fit in. So, when the class was made for the VK's, your name was added to the list.

And it's the last class of the day.

Yay.

Walking into the class, you see the VK's are already seated and Fairy Godmother's already teaching.

"I see you're late like always, (Y/N)." You smile a bit scarily, tilting your head to the side, playing along with the craziness pinned on you.

"Oh! I'm late? Sorry Fairy Godmother, the voices wouldn't stop talking!" You tap your head to make your point and Fairy Godmother nods stiffly, pointing to a seat.

"Well, just sit down." You nod and throw your feet up on the desk. After a few minutes, the two boys turn around to look at you and you roll your eyes, pulling out the crazy card again.

"Sh! I'm trying to learn, Lucy!" You whisper yell to yourself, opening your eyes wider, shaking your head slightly. After a minute you relax, smiling slightly.

"Thank you." You whisper again, causing the two to turn around.

____

"(Y/N)? What's the answer." You glance at the board, reading the question and answers before answering.

"C."

"Good job!" The boy with white hair turns to look at you.

"You're good at this class." You shrug slightly, eyes wide a little.

"Just saying the opposite of the voices. They always seem to get me in trouble." You whisper, tilting your head slightly and the boy smiles lightly.

"I'm Carlos."

"(Y/N)."

____

Class ends, and you have little episodes, keeping up the act of being crazy. Funny thing is, the Mad Hatter adopted you, you're completely sane... well, not completely, but no one is.

You pick up your things, whispering to yourself, tapping your head and twitching slightly. It's not that you have to act this way, it's just that you want to.

The other kids staring talking about you when you were entered into the school, no one knowing that Mad Hatter found you abandoned and took you in. Instead of fighting the rumors, you played along, and you enjoy seeing the slight fear when you walk by. Maybe that actually makes you a little crazy.

"Hey!" You stop walking to see Carlos walking up to you.

"Keep walking? What if I don't want to? He seems nice..." You whisper, and it doesn't seem to bother him. When Carlos gets in front of you, you look at him.

"Hi." Carlos smiles and involuntarily you smile back.

"You seem cool." You nod slowly.

"Cool isn't the right word..." Carlos shakes his head.

"No, cool is the perfect word." You laugh slightly.

"Do you know who I am?" Carlos nods.

"Yeah. Mad Hatter's daughter. Well, adopted daughter." You freeze, looking around before pulling him into an empty classroom.

"How do you know that?" Carlos looks at you for a minute.

"You really don't remember?" He pauses. "(Y/N), what's the first memory you remember?" You think back and shrug.

"Um, I was seven-ish, and Hatter found me. Why?" Carlos sighs.

"I can't tell you who your parents are, because I don't know, but I know that you used to live on the Isle and were in the group with Mal, Evie, Jay and I. You and I were inseparable. You didn't get along with Harry and Uma and they pushed you through the barrier. I guess you washed up on shore, and going through the barrier wiped your memories." You nod slowly.

"How did I get through the barrier?" Carlos shrugs.

"We don't know. All we know is you used to wear a necklace with some powder and a rock and it broke the barrier enough for you to fall through." Before you can answer, the next class starts and you slip back into the hall.

"Thanks for telling me, Carlos, but please, keep it to yourself." Carlos nods, and you give him a quick hug before running off, making sure you're still acting like the same crazy daughter of the Mad Hatter as before.

"(Y/N)!" Carlos calls after you and you turn to look at him.

"Yeah?"

"We'll help you remember." You smile lightly.

"Thanks, Carlos."
