Cheryl the softie

Toni's POV
A few days after Cheryl and I️ were sick, it was Wednesday, as me and Cheryl were both sick and we didn't come 2 days in a row. I️ was still semi-sick so Cheryl was driving instead of me. I️ was dozing off in the passenger seat when Cheryl smacked her hand to my forehead "Ow!" I️ exclaimed, also questioning why she did that.

"You still have a fever. I️ told you you should've stayed home." She said sternly to me. "Oh well it's not like I️ really pay attention anyway" I️ shrugged and she hit my shoulder again, making me whine. "Fuck sorry she said and grabbed my hand.

Betty and Jughead just watched in amusement from the backseat while I️ pulled my hand away from Cheryl's and she dragged it back into hers.

"You know it's funny that you'd be fine staying home because I'm sick but when you're sick you couldn't possibly go to school." I️ said and raised an eyebrow at her.

"That's because you're more important that I️ am" she said seriously, raising all eyebrows in the car. She looked around "What?!" She demanded.

"Nothing Cheryl that was just really cute" Betty said and I️ nodded along, pecking her cheek and watching her blush.

"Whatever" the redhead hides her blush by moving her hair in her face. I️ decided to tease her, not even having to look to know that she was blushing "don't think I️ can't see your blush babe" and Cheryl just groans again, turning up the radio volume and ignoring the conversations.

They arrive to school and Cheryl opens the door for Toni. "Are you sure you don't want to stay home? I'll drive you back" she offers and Toni shakes her head no.

Cheryl shakes off the fact that Toni can't stop sneezing and settles with wrapping her arm around the girls waist, so she can lean into her, as she has no balance whatsoever when she's sick.

The two girls stumble into school and over to Toni's locker when Veronica and Betty walk over, raising an eyebrow at Cheryl who was holding Toni up so she wouldn't fall over.

"Don't get me started" Cheryl warned, but when Toni turned around and wrapped her arms around Cheryl and put her head on her chest, all Cheryl could do was sigh. Toni had dropped her bag and all of her books had fallen out. "Pass me that" Cheryl pointed to the bag and Veronica handed it to her.

"What are you doing?" Betty asked when Cheryl reached into Toni's locker and put her books in that she knew she needed. "You know her schedule don't you" Veronica smirked.

Cheryl rolled her eyes. "Well yes I️ like to know where she is" and Veronica just smirked wider, "I️ have to tell Kevin let's go to the lounge." The group of girls made their way behind Veronica, Cheryl having to give Toni a little push every few steps.

They made it into the lounge and Cheryl claimed her usual chair as Toni moped in behind her and threw herself onto her girlfriend's lap, while the group in the lounge just watched.

"What's good with her?" Sweet Pea asked, semi-concerned, mostly amused. "She wouldn't stay home so her stubborn ass is sick here" Cheryl replied, rubbing Toni's back.

"Shouldn't you take her home?" Fangs asked and Cheryl nodded. "Yea I️ will, I️ told her first period teacher to call me when she falls asleep and then I'll take her." Cheryl replied, having known Toni would fall asleep easily.

"How do you know that?" Archie asked, laughing. "I️ dunno" Cheryl shrugged "she was sick yesterday too and she's always tired anyway."

"Who would've thought Cheryl could be such a softie." Jughead said, joining in on teasing Cheryl. "Oh wait I️ knew that because you always- "
