Journeys: The Fall to Yami- Prologue to Act 1
The legend of this world... The legend of this world called "Parina" ... It all began with a man... The man's name was Jorosa. He was once a kind and benevolent king. The people of ancient Parina loved him, as the king assisted them all with their troubles, and made the land full of life. The kingdom was very peaceful, and the people thought that the peace would be everlasting... But suddenly and without warning, everything began to fall apart..
Jorosa, the once kind and benevolent king, changed without warning. His personality became very cruel and evil. No one knew why this change in him occurred. Jorosa would send his knights to ravage the villages and destroy the peace and tranquility. The fields and forests burned, leaving behind barren wastelands and polluted fields. The air became very hard to breath in because of the smoke and ash. The many people then decided to revolt against their evil king, but they were stricken down by a great power... The king had recruited ten individuals that were very strong, experienced, and loyal. They were known as the Ten Generals. Jorosa and his Ten Generals could not be defeated by the people and had some of the rebels publicly executed as an example to those who dare even think about defying the evil king. Those rebels that Jorosa saw as very skilled in battle, he locked in his castle. When they were released, they too had changed drastically like the king... They became completely loyal to Jorosa and the Ten Generals, and had become one of their servants, as well as having their personalities changed to become twisted and evil, to others they seemed to be under a powerful spell...
Jorosa and his Ten Generals gained their dark powers from a truly evil object they had discovered... The Crystal of Yaminesscence. The Crystal of Yaminessence infected all who came near, infusing them with power and corrupting their minds. Perhaps this is why Jorosa had changed so suddenly. The Crystal gave the Ten Generals immortality, and also gave them horrifying powers over darkness. It granted Jorosa much power, but it did not make him immortal like his generals. It is unknown why... Jorosa used the Crystal to control the minds of anyone who dared to defy him and threatened to ravage and burn down the world of Parina if they dared to disobey. Fear and bloodlust took over the once peaceful land. Everyone became fearful for their own lives and became selfish. Parina had become a land of pure yami, where black monsters formed and attacked all who they see... Many people began to pray for a miracle for fifteen long years, and on one faithful day...
The Crystal who has powers exactly opposite of the Crystal of Yaminessence, The Crystal of Akarinessence, had finally gained the ability to call out to those who sought to change the darkened world. The Crystal of Akarinessence summoned eight young souls to it. The Crystal then blessed them with powers of akarinessence, and the powers of the eight main elements for each: Water, Fire, Wind, Forest, Lightning, Earth, Shadow, and Spirit. These eight souls became the Warriors of Akari. Working together with their allies, they rallied and gave hope to the people who had lost it. The people were ready to fight back against Jorosa. Jorosa grew outraged, and prepared his army to fight against the Warriors of Light...
The Warriors of Akari created an army of their own and fought the Yami Army. Both sides proved to be difficult to face each other, but they fought on. Both sides had many casualties, but they kept fighting to prevail against the evil. The Akari Army with their heads held high, fought back the Yami Army while the Warriors of Akari infiltrated Jorosa's castle. Within the castle walls, the Warriors of Akari, and the Ten Dark Generals with their evil King Jorosa faced off in a hard-fought battle. The Crystal of Yaminesscence fueled the power of the Dark Generals and their king to ensure that darkness would destroy the light, however... The Warriors of Akari used all of their strength to strike back, and finally... The yaminesscence was defeated.
For his actions, Jorosa was executed, as he was not granted immortality for reasons unknown. For the Ten Dark Generals, they were taken to an ancient ground and sealed away with a powerful spell. The Crystal of Yaminesscence was also sealed away in a place far from the Ten Dark Generals. The ones who were under the control of the Crystal of Yaminesscence was released and reunited with their families at long last. The Warriors of Akari were celebrated as the Heroes of Parina. When the land began to flourish again and the people finally regained the peace, the Warriors of Akari disappeared to live a life away from the people who worshipped them. But as the............................................... soon............................ allies.................yaminesscence. ...heroes were........................... as for.... ................... lie.
Several years later, an oracle known as Amana, received a vision from the World of Akari. Her words made the people began to worry for the future of Parina...
"In the far distant future, Parina will once again be in peril to the darkness... The Ten Dark Generals will be freed... The Crystal of Yaminesscence will be unsealed... The land... Infected by the monsters of yami. Destruction will reign across the land once more, and those that stand up to it will fall victim to the Crystal's spell... The ultimate betrayal will take place... Another war will become reality."
