Iyla's eyes fluttered open to the sound of knocking at her apartment door. She looked around for a moment wondering why someone would visit so late. She got up and walked closer to the door.

"Come let me in you big baby." She heard Daniel say from outside.

She opened the door and saw her bestfriend looking like he'd just got out of bed. He stepped foreward and picked her up to carry her to the bed.

"I, you have to stop doing this." he mumbled sitting her on the bed. He looked at her disappointed.

"Then stop coming." she said in defense.

"Don't be snappy with me because you being tired isn't my fault." He laughed as he sat on the edge of the bed. "You owe me so many favors by now." He sighed.

Iyla layed back and stared at the ceiling, ignoring what Daniel said completely. She thought about how much he caters to her. He treats her so well. After some silence Daniel slid into the spot beside her.

"Iyla, you're so important to me." he cooed, petting her hair. Iyla started to smile. "Like the sister I've always wanted." he continued. Her smile fell. She turned to face him and saw him smiling with his eyes closed.

"I shouldn't have asked you to come." she said.

His eyes opened slowly and he wrapped his arm around her waist. He snuggled closer.

"I'll always be here to give you what you need." he said quietly.

"Who said that I need you?" she argued.

"Nobody. Iyla, I need you." he smiled.

       Iyla was confused about Daniel. She's always wanted to be with him forever, no matter the relationship, but lately things have been different. All she could think about was his arms wrapped around her and how he made her feel. She couldn't think about the laughs and the memories anymore. All she could think about was the future with him.

Daniel was known around campus for his good looks and amazing proportions but for Iyla, she knew him for his goofy laugh and his nature to please and satisfy her. It had always been that way because he saw her as a sister.

"Yiel?"

"Hmm?"

Daniel was all she had. Her family lived hours away and he was the only friend she had. Living alone was slightly scary for her. She wanted him to stay forever. She didnt want him to leave her like he did every morning he stayed the night. Maybe one day he wouldn't come back.

"You're really important to me too and I do need you."

"I know." he sighed.

"Daniel, I love you."

"Mmhm, go to sleep baby." he yawned and closed his eyes.

Iyla just stared at him.
