Nate lied down on his bed and stared at the ceiling. He let out a sigh and closed his eyes.

"Are you alright Mr. Heywood?" Gideon spoke.

"Yeah. I'm fine." He replied.

"I've seen my captain when he has been through some hard times with the team. Go ahead and tell me. I won't say a word"

Nate got up from his bed and got his coffee cup. He took a sip and looked towards the screen in his room.

"I have a... um... a crush on someone. On the ship."

"And who is the lucky man-"

"How do you know he's a man!!??"

"I didn't. You just told me now. And next time, do not interrupt me"

Nate sighed. "I'm sorry Gideon. Yes... it's- it's a guy."

"And he is?"

Nate blushes lightly and stared at the ground. "It's Ray. I just-I didn't think he would attach to me like that. He's just a sweet heart and he... he gets me. And since Amaya is gone I just-"

"You feel lonely"

"Yeah" Nate replied wiping a tear away from his cheek.

"Don't worry Mr. Heywood. Maybe if you talk to him he might say the same thing."

"I don't think so Gideon. You may be an intelligent A.I. but..."

"But?"

"I don't know. I'll think about it."

After that long talk with Gideon, Nate decided to rest a bit and think it over. Ray was in his lab building another device for their next mission.

"Excuse the interruption Dr. Palmer but I have some news." Gideon spoke.

"Oh? What is it?" Ray asked curiously.

"He likes you back"

Ray jumped out from his seat in excitement. "He does!! He really does!!"

Gideon giggled. "Of course he does. He's in his room so maybe you should catch him before he leaves"

"Oh yes! Right! I should." Ray said still standing in his spot.

"Um. Dr. Palmer?"

"Yes Gideon?"

"Shouldn't you be leaving?"

"Oh! Right! Thank you Gideon!" Ray left his lab to meet Nate in his room. Gideon decided to awaken Nate from his nap.

"Mr. Heywood"

"Yeah?"

"You have a visitor"

Nate sighed and got up from his bed. He gently pressed the button for the door to open. He saw Ray standing there and next thing he knew, he was being kissed by him. His eyes widened at the surprise but he let it go. He pulled the scientist into his room and continued to make out. Nate felt Ray's hands discover his body. One hand was inside his shirt while the other on the back of Nate's neck.

Nate separated from the kiss first. He didn't know what to say. He had this stupid look on his face trying to think of something to say.

"Uh..." Nate blushed as he couldn't think of something to say to him. "I love you"
