I twirl the pasta with my silver fork, been playing with it for a while.Half of my food was gone from my plate, I guess I was hungrier than I thought. I lightly place the fork on the ceramic plate, reaching out to take a sip from my glass of water.

(Y/n)- " Thanks again Michael" I say as he starts to clean the dishes.

(Michael)- " You're welcome. After this I'll get started on laundry" I stare at the navy blue plate, thinking very hard. Dad is probably drunk most nights...and probably is on edge at work. I have to see him if I like it or not. I do miss him. He probably misses me too, I mean--I'm all he's got.

(Y/n)- " Hey, Michael..."

(Michael)- " Yes?"

(Y/n)- " Would you kindly take care of the house while I visit my father for a few days?" I don't know why I'm asking my android, he does whatever I tell him to, but..it doesn't hurt to ask and be polite. I wasn't raised with bad manners.

(Michael)-" Yes, yes of course." he automatically agreed.

(Y/n)- " Perfect, I'll be leaving first thing in the morning."

(Michael)- "Everything will be taken care of when you return"

NOV 5th 2038

I look out the tinted windows inside the bus, viewing rain sliding across the glass. Im very tired...extremely tired. Spent the rest of last night packing clothes and putting outfits together. Didn't catch any sleep...felt like I only closed my eyes for a minute and already the sun comes up. I get this feeling in my stomach, nervousness? Maybe. How would Dad react to seeing me? Is he going to have a reaction at all? I look down at the suitcase near my feet, one case should be fine for a few day. I don't think I'll be staying long anyway. I pull out my phone from my coat pocket, a few text messages from work and one from Grant. Not even going to bother with him. I slid it back into my pocket and continue to stare at the passing by stores.

(Time Skip)

I plant my suitcase on the cement path leading up to the house, for once its not raining-- maybe later on tonight. It was partly cloudy. My eyes scan every inch of the house, it's the same. It looks a little, lonely. I noticed his car isn't here-- maybe he's at work or its in the garage. I reached down for my bag and lifted it up, walking straight up to the one step. Arriving at his front door without a call-- would he be upset? My hand raises hovering at the door, it's not too late to leave. What am I saying-- I'm showing up at the front door, it is too late to leave. I'm already here. The knuckles of my left hand tap against the door, knocking three times. My fingers tighten the handle of my suitcase. This is it. I hear Sumo barking at the door. A grin slowly takes over my mouth. Can't wait to play with him-- it's been too long!

I raise my hand again and I knock three more times. Come on, Dad. I feel like an idiot standing here. I furrow my brow at the door, I guess he's not home. I set my bag near my feet once more. I dig into my pocket and bring out my phone. I dial the non emergency number of the Detroit police station. Ringing twice before a voice picks up

(Phone)- " Detroit police."

(Y/n)- "Hi, hmm...is Hank Anderson there?" I rested my hand on my hip.

(Phone)- " May I ask who's calling?"

(Y/n)- " It's (Y/n) Anderson, I'm his Daughter"

(Phone)- " Lieutenant Anderson isn't here at the moment, can I take a message?"

(Y/n)- " No-- thats okay. Thanks. But please don't tell him I called, it's a surprise" I do want to surprise him-- but this feels all too pointless. I hung up the phone and think of something in the meantime. Dad's nowhere to be found-- not at work not even at home. ahh -- great! Where am I gonna go now? I could wonder around and look for a motel? Gahh-- Dad, I swear if your drinking-- I will slap that drink out of your hand. I turn around to view the street with passing by cars. What do I do now? I can just wait here till he gets home? Or I could go to his work and wait for him there? I look down at my suitcase, this is heavy-- and I don't want to drag this around either. I could leave it here-- or take it. Garrhh, damn it. I'll take it with. Damn, which way is the police station again?

(Time Skip)

This is not how I wanted to spend my day. I lean back in my Dads desk chair with my feet propped up my suitcase.Everythings so different, I don't remember it being this..clean and white.

I've been waiting here forever-- all just to surprise my Dad. My eyes dart to his very messy desk, paper work piling up-- a box of half eaten donuts, and an old cup of coffee. How does he keep track of all of this? further upon checking his desk, he doesn't keep any pictures of us...how sad.

My eyes wonder around the station, androids lined up against the wall to my right. Just the sight of that-- is creeping me out. Eyes wondering around the area again, I see a man in a leather jacket-- brown short hair and light stubble on his chin. Hmm, he looks kinda cute...but he has an off look to him. Our eyes met and he grins at me with a flirty wink. I was taken aback by his sudden attempt. Feeling my cheeks get red, is it too soon to be flirty with guys? Pfft, who cares? I'm single. He continues to walk-- almost leaving the station. I keep my eye on him as he does the same with me. He turns paths and is heading towards my way-- oh shit-- how's my hair? A mess-- fuck. How's my clothes? Dry, yet stylish. I sat up straight in the chair await for him to arrive at the desk. Once he approaches closer, he takes a seat near the corner of the desk.

(Man)- " Haven't seen you around here before." His voice was raspy, but still smooth.

(Y/n)- " No you haven't" should I play hard to get? Be myself?

(Man)- " What's a girl like you waiting for....Hank Anderson?" he scoffs saying his name as he eyes dads name plate on his desk.

(Y/n)- "Visiting....waiting."

(Man)- "Really, Anderson is going to keep a girl like you waiting. Pfft, you're waisting your time. How about you and I get drinks right now?"

(Y/n)- " Being a little direct, are we?"

(Man)- "I usually get what I want" he shrugs with a smug look on his face.

(Y/n)- " I don't even know your name."

(Gavin)- " Reed. Gavin Reed" Gavin, I sorta like it. He extends his hand out for a shake.

(Gavin)- " Nice to meet you Gavin." his shake was firm, a little too tight on my hand.

(Gavin)- "And your name is...?"

(Y/n)- " (Y/n)."

(Gavin)- " well, (Y/n). I'm going to get the hell out of here. Care to join me?"

(Voice)- "Excuse me, Detective Reed" before I could speak, A gentle-- more softer tone of a man's voice intterupts  us. The look on Gavin Reeds face was pure annoyance. Behind him was an android. This one looked different than the others, he looked kinder. His brown hair was nicely fixed with a few loose strands at the front. His posture was the same as any other android, tall-- straight and robotic. His attire was also different than the others. Grey fitted suit with a skinny tie. His jacket had the cyberlife logo to the left shoulder and on the right was the model number-- plus the blue arm band at the right arm.

(Gavin)-"Didn't I tell you to fuck off earlier?!" he snapped at the android.

(Android)- " Do you know where I can find Lieutenant Anderson?" he too is looking for my Dad?

(Gavin)- " I don't fucking know--check your local bar, bound to find him somewhere." Gavin looks back to me. Still waiting for my answer.

(Gavin)- " So, you coming?" That would be funny if I did get drinks with him and tell him-- "oh yeah I'm Hank's kid." Maybe some other time, First things first-- is to locate Dad.

(Y/n)- " I have to get going, it was a..pleasure to meet you detective Reed." I stood up and walked away from Gavin and the android. I better find Dad before he does, I wonder if he's in trouble.
