//2 more years later\\
You had just gotten back from your day of Hero work completely exhausted. Your 4 year old son, Enji, was sitting in the small living room looking at your books yet again and trying to pronounce the words.

You went into the kitchen and prepared a simple dinner. Recently the crime rate has been increasing drastically; today you had to repair cells from head injuries and burns. There were 2 villians, one with an elemental quirk that set a school on fire and the other villian cause earthquakes. A few students died and that just added on to you being exhausted; you wished they had gotten out sooner, you wish they hadn't run into the villians, you could have repaired them, they could still be with there families.

You finished making dinner and called for Enji, he set the book down and sat at the table. You asked him how Primary School was.

"It was good Mama! How many people did you save today Mama?!" He looked at you with a wide smile and a sparkle in his eyes. You couldn't tell him the truth...you could only tell him it partly.

You smiled wide and closed your eyes, "We saved a whole school!" You opened your eyes just in time to see his smile widen. All you want to see is your little boy smile, nothing more, nothing less. You don't want him to see the harsh reality.

Your 4 year old boy, Enji (L/N), doesn't have his quirk yet but he has said when he grows up we wants to be just like you...a Hero, he wants to be the best he can be and save many lives. He tells you this every night...you just smile and say "I'll be watching" then kiss his forehead and turn off the light.

After dinner you collect the dishes and go to the sink; you mentally repeat to yourself all the names of the people you didn't save. You sigh and turn off the water and rest your hands on the sink, you close your eyes and breathe. You feel a tug on your pants and open your eyes looking at your curious son. He's holding a book and points to a word, you read it...'Endeavor'.

You can't help but to smile. You dry your hands and pick him up going to the couch and sit down.

"You wanna know what that word is?" Enji nods a 'yes'.

"It's Endeavor."

"End-eh-vor?"

"Close, En-dev-or...it means to work hard and strive forward even when times are tough, it means that you'll also do what needs to be done." Enji's face lights up; so pure, so young, so unknowing, so curious...one day he will see the harsh reality, one day he will see death with his own eyes. One day, not now but in the future, he'll have his heart broken, he'll build a wall and keep others out like most teenagers and young adults...he won't even let you in. Your afraid and yet excited of who he'll become, your afraid cause he won't be his bright/pure self anymore, your excited cause you know he'll grow up to be a strong Hero.
