Chapter 2 - Disappearance

Naruto's Pov

"Alright Class tomorrow will be the graduation exams." Iruka sensei looks up at me, and then over to the empty seat that's next to me. "... in order to graduate, and become ninja, you must be able to perform the Clone Jutsu." Iruka walks over to the door. "Class is dismissed, see you all tomorrow." Everyone walks out of the class, except for me. I look out of the window, and stare at the swing (y/n) and I played on as kids. "Naruto?" (Y/n) where are you? It's been a week since You went missing.... you can't prove people wrong if you don't even come to class. "Naruto, earth to Naruto." Just whatever you're doing it had better be making you stronger! "Naruto!" I feel a fist hit me in the head.

I yell as I jump out of my seat. "Iruka sensei what was that for?"

"Class is over Naruto, so you can leave now." Iruka looks at me for a second. "I'd stop worrying about (y/n). I'm sure he's just out training somewhere trying to get stronger, I'm sure he'll make it to class tomorrow."

"You really think so?"

"Of course I do, he is the grandson of the second Hokage after." Iruka smiles at me. "Now go home, and get some rest tomorrow is going to be a big day."
Iruka, and I walk out of the classroom. I know you'll show up tomorrow. I just know it. We'll prove everyone body wrong, we'll prove we can be great ninja! I wave to Iruka sensei as I run home.

Ino's pov

"So Ino?"

"Yeah what is Shikamaru?"

"What's with that gloomy expression?"

"What are you talking about?"

"The look you've had on your face since, (y/n) bolted out of class."

"What! What are talking about?! I don't have a gloomy look on my face." I take a deep breath. "Seriously Shikamaru you're so childish."

"What!" Shikamaru grows a confused look. "I'm childish?

"I can see it." Choji eats a chip.

"See even Choji can see it." I turn away from both of them. "Now I'll see you later. I'm going home, I have a test to pass tomorrow."

Shikamaru's pov

"She is really bad about hiding that." Choji says.

"What?" I look over at Choji.

"Caring about (y/n)." Choji eats another chip. "She won't admit it, but she really cares about him."

"So I guess him up and disappearing like this, is hitting her pretty hard?"

"Yeah, before we got into the academy she was his only friend and when she started crushing on Sasuke, (y/n) started to slowly drift away." Choji goes to eat another chip, but he reaches in the bag, and pulls nothing out. "Argh. This was the last bag I had to." Choji throws the bag in the trash. "Alright well I'm going to head home, see you tomorrow Shikamaru." Choji and I wave at each other as he walks off. So Ino, and (y/n), used to be really good friends. I would have never guessed it. For Ino's sake I hope (y/n) shows up tomorrow.
