'last night was crazy man. what even happened?' Ana texted on her phone. she woke up on the couch of a stranger and quickly packed her bag up and went to the nearest cafe. she was in an unfamiliar neighborhood, not recognizing any of the buildings. she tried to call someone but the service wouldn't go through. now she sat on the curb of Nico's Coffee Shop & Bakery and sipped a latè.

Ana frustratedly clicked the 'Try Again' button on her iPhone. she tapped her foot boredly.

Ana huffed and stood up quickly. she opened the coffee shop door again and heard the bells chime. she sat down at a chair in front of the bar that faces out the window and checked for wifi. nothing popped up. she groaned and slammed her phone down.

a boy beside her looked over. "everything okay miss?" he was a light skinned boy with green eyes and curly hair that brushed over his eyes. he wore a cardigan and oxfords with a leather satchel. he clearly was a writer. Ana had a gift of reading people. what they did for a living that is.

"oh yeah, I'm sorry. I have no cell service here and I have no idea where I am." Ana said, embarrassed.

"I see...well I'm Sean. I think I saw you at Lisa's party last night. that was crazy. you passed out on the couch didn't you?" the boy said, laughing.

"yeah that would be me. is it terrible to say I don't remember a thing about last night nor do I know who Lissa even is..."

"nah" Sean said "I can't remember my name half of the days of the year! if you come with me, I can take you home."

a few seconds passed and Ana just stared at Sean. she just met him and he claimed to know her. should she get in his car? possibly let him just have her so he can kill her in the alley way of some crowded New York street? she thought it over and realized that this may be her only chance of getting back to her apartment.

"um so yes to the drive home?" Sean said.

Ana laughed. "yeah sure sorry. I still have a massive hangover. how do you have a car in Manhattan?"

"I actually lived in Newark. it's not a bad drive here so I just moved in a few months ago. it's amazing so far. I love New York. always have. so anyways I brought my car. it's out front. it's a volts wagon. don't judge" Sean said with a grin on his face.

the two walked out and the door gave a little chime as they did so. Sean clicked the unlock button on his keys and the car sang a little tune. Ana suppressed a burst of laughter and and Sean gave her a playful scold. she shook her head.
"it's great Sean. thank you for the ride. do you mind looking up directions to my apartment since I have no cell service and am so hung over I hardly could remember my own name when you asked."
Sean laughed. "yeah I may be able to help you out with that" he said while opening the car door and slipping into the drivers seat. Ana got in and looked at him. he turned over to her.
"why are you being so nice to me?" she said. "we hadn't even met until this morning why-"
"actually we met last night...well mind of. I helped you up after you fell off of the chandelier- you were swinging on it." he said, laughing.
Ana slapped his arm jokingly and said "hey. don't take advantage of my blurry, make that very, very blurry past."
he smiled at her. "why wouldn't I want to help a girl as beautiful as yourself get home when she has a hangover in my old volts wagon? I mean, hey! it's basically a book plot!" he winked at her and started the ignition. "so. let's get this show on the road. what is your address. I'll put it in my phone so we can get going."

Ana blushed and told him her home address. "1116 west blue avenue"

"I can rhyme all the time" Sean said softly talking to himself in a monotoned voice. Ana snorted in laughter.
"you got it down yet?" Ana said
"yerp. let's goooooo-" Sean said, pushing the gas pedal

"this traffic is awful" Ana said an hour later. they had only moved about 15 miles but were almost at her house.
"yeah I know. I used to wake up 3 hours before work, of course it only takes me 30 minutes to get ready, and it usually takes 2 hours to get there and it's only about 20 blocks away but then I just realized I could walk. So I did that for a while, quit, and became a writer" Sean said.
Ana smiled to herself knowing that she had yet another successful reading about his occupation.
"I love writing. it relieves my stress." Ana said.
"me too and it's great because I can make a living off of what I love."
Sean's car pulled up to the curb outside of Ana's. Sean turned off the radio. he stopped the engine and looked at her.
"well we're he-" Ana leaned in and kissed Sean softly on the lips. he pulled back in shock and stared blankly at her.
"wow I'm sorry. I thought you were-"
"no it's not that. I just got out of a relationship. " Sean said, frowning at the ground.
"oh, sorry. I should go...I'm really sorry" Ana said getting out of her car and closing the door, embarrassed.
"oh, um, alright. well maybe I'll see you at one of Lissa's parties soon. I hear she is having one on friday."
Sean yelled out the car window to Ana who was walking up to the door.
Ana smiled cheeks blushing from embarrassment. "maybe. bye Sean. thank you for the ride."
"bye Ana banana. that's your new nick name. well, gotta run so, I'll see you later. alright?" he said, pulling out.
she sighed and walked up to her apartment and collapsed on the bed.
she thought about the little bits of the party but couldn't remember anything including Lissa... and that had to change. she was going to that party.
