The Only Girl

Chapter 1

Jasmine's POV

     "Love you mom!" I yelled as I ran outside with my bag to the bus before it leaves. "No! No! No! No! No!" I screamed as the bus started to leave. "Damn it!!" I said as I walked back home from the bus stop. "Mom! Can you drive me to school?" I asked grumpily as I sat back at the island. "Sure honey, What happened?" she asked. "The damn bus left me!!" I exclaimed rudely to her. "Watch your mouth." She scolded "Okay, but please bring me to school?" I pleaded with puppy dog eyes. "Okay darling." She said as she put her coffee mug in the sink.
    
     We got in the car and we were off to school. I put in my earbuds and blocked out the surrounding sounds. Firework by Katy Perry was playing. My mom tapped my shoulder and pulled out one of my earbuds. "Honey we're here." She said. "Thanks mom, I love you." I told her. "Okay honey, I love you too." I kissed her and I was off.

     First through third period seemed as if time was frozen. I went to my locker, checked my phone and saw that I had a missed call. It was from my aunt. I thought it was very unusual because she's at work. I dialed her back immediately.

     "Hello." I greeted her. "Yes, its about time you answered the phone. I am on my way to pick you up from school. Your mother got into a car accident. We need to get to the hospital pronto." She rambled.  "Aunt Sadie? Slow down! What's wrong? I don't think I understand you. It sounded like you said my mom got into a car accident." "Sweetie, go to the office. I'll be there in two minutes." She hung up.

     I walked to the office and paced around until she arrived. She got here, with tears pouring out of her eyes. When we got out of the office, I asked her what happened. She said that my mom got in an extremely bad accident, and that it was almost impossible for her to live. I really don't know what I would do if my mother died. Honestly, I would probably kill myself, but let's hope for the best.
