"What happened is she ok " my dad scoffed
"Damn shame it took your mama being in the hospital for your to come around"

"Mama has stage 2 breast cancer" my older sister Morgan said

"What why didn't anybody tell me"
"You wasn't around your ass left and never came back so why would you care" my dad said mugging me I pulled Jayceon as he was about to step to my dad

"You know what I'm worried about my mother's health and you being childish and petty you kicked me out remember you didn't want people know that your 18 year old daughter was pregnant by a street nigga I would ruin your "preacher" image isn't that what it was so before you oow rate me looking in the fucking mirror" I said as tears came down he looked shocked at what I said and left out the waiting room

At that moment I realized how important family is and how childish it was for me to stay away yes I had my reasons but life is to short

"Go Paislee we will see her tomorrow but you go" Morgan said as the rest nodded in agreement I nodded and walked back to the room number is he doctor gave me

I opened to hear machines and the TV on she turned I looked at my mama pale skinny body

"My pay pay" she said in a soft raspy calling by my childhood Nickname I nodded walking in fully

"Pregnant" she said rubbing my belly I nodded as more tests came out

"I'm sorry mama I'm so sorry"
"Ohh no mehi you don't be sorry I'm sorry for letting your father do that I was thinking stupid to kick my baby out while having a baby" she said grabbing my hand I smiled listening to her accent.

Yes I was half dominacan but me and my sisters never really learned the culture or language.

"I don't think daddy will come around but I forgive You this is a new big step" I said we laughed and talked a little then I kissed her goodnight

I walked out and Jayceon stood up with a bottle of water I walked to him standing on my toes to kiss him
"How did I get so lucky" he frowned

"If anybody's lucky it's me I love you" I smiled
