Chapter 2: I'm Joey, Joey Birlem

I ignore the notification and I decide to walk to school since it's not that far.

But as I'm walking out, I see this really cute boy. He had green eyes, fluffy brown hair, and he had dimples when he smiled.

Omg, what if that's the new kid? I hope Luna was right. OMG HE LOOKED AT ME!!!

And the best part is that he lives right next to my freaking house! 

When I was staring at his features as he walked, he decided to talk to me.

"Hi, uh, is there a problem?" The cute boy said as he touched his face checking if there was anything there.

"Oh no, uh sorry, I was just.... uh..." I trail off as I keep staring at him.

"Oh by the way, I'm Joey, Joey Birlem." He holds his hand out for a handshake.

"Yeah..." I get distracted by looking at him. He then snaps his fingers.

"Hey, uh, earth to.. whatever your name is." He laughs.

"Omg, sorry! I'm Maya, Maya Blaise." I finally shake his hand.

Wow, his hands are so soft. I could shake them (or probably hold them) all day long.

"Do you go to Hollywood High? I'm new so I wanted to make some friends, since, I'm the new kid!" He laughs.

OMG, his laugh is even cuter! And how deep are his dimples!!!!???

"Yeah, I actually do! I could help you around school if you want. Wanna walk over there with me?" I ask.

Did I seriously ask the new, and cute, kid to walk with me? Making moves, Maya, making moves.

As we were walking, I was swaying my arms back and forth slightly. But just my luck, I accidentally touched Joey's soft hands.

Oh my lord, his hands are as soft as pillows! Well maybe not THAT soft, but still! Pretty soft.

"Oh, uh sorry, I didn't mean to do that." My voice trails off.

"Oh no, it's fine. Your hands are soft anyway." He looked at me and smiled. Of course, I had to smile back.

And then to ruin the moment, here came my best friend, Lexi. Yes, I love my best friend so much, but this was an important moment. I could've won his heart right then and there.

"OMG!!! Maya!" Lexi said as she took me into a big hug. As she was hugging me, she said, "Who's the cutie here?"

"Hi, I'm Joey Birlem. The new kid." Joey interrupts.

"Hi, I'm Lexi, and we need to be friends!" She said excitedly.
