Butterflies: Naruto Uzumaki x Reader

(A/N: this is around the time when Naruto is learning how to master his wind style chakra nature and Kakashi and Yamato are there to supervise)

Reader POV
It was a semi-peaceful day in Konoha and I decided to roam around the streets just to find what to do. It was apparent that all of my friends had busy lives being civilians and all, but it's crazy that I, being a ninja would have no jobs to do at the moment. I decided to walk over to Sakura's to see if I could potentially make some conversation.

*At Sakura's home*
"Hey Sakura, you busy today?"

"Hi Y/N! Actually I'm really not, I'm just making some food pills for Naruto.. you know him, always training so hard to help himself and the village.."

"Food pills? Oh right I forget you're a medical ninja, my apologizes! And also, Naruto? Is his training really all that tough?"

"Oh no worries haha! And yeah I mean, he's learning how to control his wind chakra nature... Captain Yamato and Kakashi-sensei are with him right now. I was just about to take these to him.. you wanna come?"

"Wow wind chakra nature... oh wow how nice! Well, if it isn't too much of a bother, I would love to come!"

"Alright let's get going!"

*Time Skip to Naruto's training area*

As Sakura and I arrived to Naruto's training area, I noticed that the environment was tense and serious. There was no conversation between Naruto, Yamato, or Kakashi. It was clear that Sakura was right when she said that Naruto's training was difficult to master. Kakashi was laying on a bench reading his pervy novel, while Yamato sat behind Naruto ready to restrain the Nine Tails from coming out, while Naruto did his intense training. I always admired him from a distance and never truly got the opportunity to see him train. He gives me this weird feeling in my stomach every time I see him or every time we have a conversation. I don't truly understand these feelings because I've never felt like this before....

"Y/N! Y/N!" Sakura whisper-yelled.

"Oh I'm sorry did you say something?"

"Yeah, I said that you should go and give Naruto the food pills....."

"WAIT WHY ME?"

"It's obvious that's he's all you focus on when he's around and since you never want to start a conversation... how about walking over there to give them these food pills huh?" *Sakura winks*

"You're c-crazy to believe that I would ever have a t-thing for N-Naruto! What makes you think I wasn't just z-zoning out huh?"

"Considering the fact that you blushed and stuttered when I even said all of that tells me you feel something for him haha! Just go and give these to him... I have to go home and prepare some more! Good luck!" *Sakura winks and leaves*

Naruto POV

"Good luck!" Sakura said as she jogged away. Wait who is that? Is that Y/N? What is she doing here and what is she holding?

"Hey Y/N!"
"Y/N!"
"Y/N!" Naruto yelled.
Well she isn't responding, so I guess I should take a small break and see what she's doing here...

"Captain Yamato!"

*breathing heavily* "Yes Naruto?" Yamato said.
