**** The crowd went silent as the lead singer's voice rang out through the concert hall. 'Strength in the Storm' was a song she wrote that told a story about the loss of her parents and how she was able to get through the loss and step into her role as caregiver to her younger siblings. It was a song that her fans always fell silent and showed respect for.

Strength in the Storm

[Verse 1]
In the darkness, she stood alone
Lost her parents, heart turned to stone
Young and scared, but she had to be strong
For her siblings, she had to belong
Through the tears, she found a light
Guiding her through the endless night

[Chorus]
She found God in the midst of pain
He became her shelter in the pouring rain
With Him by her side, she'll never fall
He's the strength that carries her through it all

[Verse 2]
Through the struggles, she learned to pray
Her faith unwavering, come what may
She became a mother to her own
Protecting them, in God's grace they've grown
His love surrounds her, never lets go

[Chorus]
She found God in the midst of pain
He became her shelter in the pouring rain
With Him by her side, she'll never fall
He's the strength that carries her through it all

[Chorus]
She found God in the midst of pain
He became her shelter in the pouring rain
With Him by her side, she'll never fall
He's the strength that carries her through it all

Drina Skylard and her band, "The Skydivers," sat back stage relaxing and celebrating after the last concert of the tour. Drina, barely five foot two, one hundred thirty five pounds had long, curly blonde hair, and dark brown eyes. Her smile had the power to light up a room or stage. Her ten year old half-brother Kyle, his twin sister, Kaylee and Riley's son and Kyle's best friend, Eli, rested on a foldout couch.

Drina's mother and step-father had died in a plane crash six years earlier, on the 11th of September 2001. She had taken legal guardianship for her younger siblings, and would walk through fire for them. She knew however, that this was no life for them. They loved traveling with her, but it came with a price. They had no friends save for the Band members, the crew and Eli. All three were beginning to talk about riding a bus, being on baseball and basket ball teams. Even the much more studious Kaylee was beginning to complain about having the same tutor year after year and the lack of girlfriends. So Drina had decided to take the twins on a long vacation, Eli too, if Riley would allow it.

Exhausted, Drina sat back and closed her eyes. "I think I need to turn in, guys, I feel like a limp rag." she said, never opening her eyes.
