"Blast it!" Kiran slammed the keyboard again as he watched the CCTV footage. "Oh, Satara. Desiri died again."
"Oh, for fuck's sake," she facepalmed as Zerrin giggled through her electrical tape. "Don't get so cocky, dear sister. It's not even remotely over yet." She turned away, unable to see Zerrin rolling her eyes at her. "Shit, now I've got to bring Desiri back from the grave again. Kiran, go deal with the humans. Myrtle? Keep an eye on these two clowns.
"What about Sotoro?" She asked. "I haven't seen him all day."
"Oh, never you mind him. I sent him out on an important mission."
Over on the other side of Arcadia, said sibling was in a fast food restaurant with a list of food to grab. He didn't mind the incessant beeping of the machines as he waited for hours for it all to come out. It was a rather long list, after all.
"You sent him out for food, didn't you?" Myrtle questioned.
"I needed him to be out of my way. I can't have the lover of a traitor around, y'know? After Zerrin's dealt with, I'll deal with him myself. I'll win, they'll be together in death, everyone will be happy. Now if you excuse me."
As Satara walked out, so did Kiran. "Gonna go kick their asses?" Myrtle asked him.
"But of course. You're welcome to join me," he offered.
"No thanks. I've got captives to watch."
"But they can't go anywhere. Have some fun, yes?"
"I'm not leaving Zerrin and Mia in the same place together alone for even a second. If they escape, Satara's deleting our backups."
"As you wish."
As the electronic door slid shut behind him, she produced a sharp thorn on the palm of her hand. Going behind Zerrin, she snapped the ropes apart, causing it to fall apart around her chair. She did the same for Mia. She tore the tape off of their mouths, causing them to yelp in pain. "I thought they'd never leave us alone."
"Hold on, why're you helping us at all?" Mia questioned. "You're on the enemy's side."
"Sotoro and Zerrin are family, and I care about him, so I want her and him to be safe. I have a plan." Myrtle picked up her wristwatch, communicating into it as the former captives were huddled.
"Zerrin, you can't possibly trust her." Mia warned.
"Myrtle's family and our family were allies back on our home planet. Just trust us," Zerrin smirked.
"Clover, you'd better wake up if you know what's good for you." a voice called out. She opened her eyes to find herself quickly moving in what appeared to be a large tubed structure; she was able to see through the clear glass as she was pushed along by rushing air alone. Clover looked to her side to see Zander's expression of worry turn to that of slight relief. "Zander? How did we get in this thing?" she inquired as she found out she had enough room to flip onto her stomach in the currents of rushing air just as her brother did the same.
"We must've fell in back in that dark room. Do you see the others?" her sibling asked as he looked around.
"No dice." he answered. "Now what to do we do-!?"
The two of them screamed as they were thrown out into an open room with nothing but tile lining the walls, floor, and ceiling; the latter was embedded with bright lights that buzzed thanks to age. "Okay, now where are we?" Clover looked around. "Ow, that's gonna be a bruise in the morning," she lamented as she touched her shoulder.
"Beats the hell outta me. Hey, there's a guy over there. Maybe we should ask him." Zander pointed at a man with short, brown hair. He wore a tuxedo with dress pants and dress shoes. It seemed odd that a man like him would be here, but they didn't have much of a choice.
"Excuse us, sir." Clover asked just as he looked up from his book. "We're looking for someone. See, we're-"
"You're here because of a certain lady, right?"
"Yeah, how did you-?"
"So, you're those pesky humans our target has decided to reside with. You know, if I was her, I'd live with humans with much more strength than a couple of 20-somethings." he rose to his feet, and just as he looked up, they got a full view of his neck. He wore an Identity Choker with black and yellow on the circular screen in the middle of the accessory. "But if you asked me, I think it would be easy to eradicate mere humans with electricity."
