The darkness creeped up from behind as Yuki pulled me through the silent pathways of the village. I could feel Yuki's hands shaking as she pulled me forward. She knew that the night held danger, but what she didn't know is that I am very much aware of the dangers. Vampires hunt the night and we are their pray.

"Yuki, slow down a little!" I yell as she pulled me with her, rounding a corner. I could barely keep up with her. Not only was I carrying a heavy bag full of foods but I'm also wearing sandals.

"We can't Hinata, we got to get back to the academy before it's to late!" Yuki yelled.

"But Yuki! I can't keep up! I'm sure I'm going to trip at some point!"

Just as I finished my sentence, a large figure appeared before us as we rounded the corner. Yuki bumped into it, letting go of my hand, making me fall against the stone wall.

My arms scrapped against the wall as I made contact with it. The wounds started to sting as warm crimson blood started to emerge from the open wound. I quickly covered the wound with my right hand, but it didn't stop the bleeding.

"Hinata!"

My head shoot up as I heard Yuki scream out my name. She was holding up her iron stick again, holding the thing that blocked our way back.

The thing that Yuki bumped into was actually a very tall man. He wore nothing but dirty black and brown clothing, some pieces were even ripped. Dirt covered his skin as he leaned forward, pushing against the stick Yuki held before her. Large drools of saliva dripped out of his open mouth. But the thing that caught my eye the most were his blazing red eyes.

"Hinata, Run!" Yuki yelled at me as she pushed the man back, creating an exit for me to go through.

I hesitated, I knew this man was a vampire. His eyes glowed a crimson red just as Mikami Keith's had that day in the woods. I surely couldn't leave Yuki here alone. Back when Hanabusa Aidou attacked her, she also couldn't hold her ground against him. And this vampire looks to be much more vengeful than Hanabusa was.

I pushed myself up away from the wall and glared at the fight before me. I made my choice, I am going to stay and fight.

"I can't leave you here alone, let me help you."

"No. You're going to run back towards the Academy." A low voice said from behind me. " I'll help Yuki."

"Zero!" Yuki beamed of relieve as the silver haired perfect stepped forward from behind me.

I looked up into Kiryu's silver eyes, they were firmly gazing into mine. Scary!

A shriek from Yuki got us both to look her way, the vampire growled as he tried to crawl at the brunettes face. But Yuki was quick and pushed him away with her iron stick.

I could hear Kiryu growl from besides me, clutching his fists as he watched Yuki fight the beast off. Suddenly he turned towards me and grabbed my injured arm roughly. I flinched and tried to pull away, but he didn't let me go. Instead he pulled me towards his angry face, his eyes burning onto mine. I swallowed away my fright and looked back at him.

"Get the hell out of here, Susaku!"

He was almost growling as he spat out my name, demanding me to leave. I took one last glance at Yuki before I turned back to look at Kiryu. I wanted to say something, but nothing came past my lips. Instead I nodded and ran passed the vampire as Yuki kept him out of my way.

I clinched my bag full of groceries close to my chest as I began to run through the deserted village. I know Zero would protect Yuki, he'd do anything to keep her safe. And so I ran as far as my legs would allow me to.
