Casey - Marry Me? What?

"What was that?!" I questioned Dan as soon as Elliott left our table and was out of hearing range.

"What?" He laughed at me, he seriously wants to laugh about this?

"That whole 'it's not good for you or the baby' thing? Jesus Dan, Elliott is the kind of person who's gonna spread that round, soon enough, everyone is going to think I'm pregnant and married to you" I pushed my hair back from my face, in a state of annoyance.

"What's wrong with that?" He looked at me with a serious look.

"Dan, I love you to the worlds end and back and to be honest, being married to you and having your child wouldn't be the worst thing in the world but I just don't want everyone to think that I'm pregnant or married"

"Well marry me then?"

"What?"

"Marry me?"

"Dan..."

"Come on Case, what's the worse that can happen? I don't want us getting married just yet but how about we make a promise? How about we promise each other that we will get married in the near future? Because I want to spend the rest of however long I've got left with you because you make me the happiest I have ever been in a long time, you mean the absolute world to me and hey, the rest of your life with me wouldn't be too bad would it?" Is he serious?

"Dan, you can't be serious" I looked at him, then at Lina and Stoff, I could feel my face getting hot and my hands shaking

"But I am serious, we love each other, let's do it" Daniel sure is convincing!

"Fine! I promise to marry you in the near future" I laughed, pulling him to make his lips meet mine.

"Well thank god for that, this could've been really awkward if you said no" he laughed before kissing me again. Damn, I love this man.

"Now that's sorted, I need some fresh air, I'm just going to step outside for a minute" I told everyone before standing up and walking outside.

The truth is, seeing Elliott made me feel sick, and then Dan saying Marry Me was all overwhelming, I just needed a moment.

The fresh air hit me like a ton of bricks, my head going light, I stubbled to the wall leaning back against it as I took a few deep breaths until I felt a presence next to me.

"Look, I just need a minute" I said and looked at the person, expecting it to be Dan, Stoff or Lina but no, it was Elliott.

"You are the last person I want to see"

"Come on Case, don't be like that. I know you miss me" that smug look on his face made me want to slap him.

"I really don't miss you at all" I rolled my eyes at him

"But the things I used to do to you..." he trailed off, touching my leg with his hand

"Don't touch me" I spat, wanting his grubby hands off me, who knows where they've been

"But we could have fun again" Elliott was now in front of me, with either hand on either side of my head, holding me in place

"In case you forgot, I'm married and pregnant, now do me a favour and leave me alone. It's taken me years to get over you and I've finally found someone I love with all my heart and here you are trying to ruin it but I won't let you. You aren't worth a second of my thoughts. Just because your relationships don't work out doesn't mean you can ruin mine. Just fuck off and fuck yourself Elliott" I told him with a look of pure disgust on my face.

Before I knew what was happening, his lips were on mine so my defences kicked in. I pushed him back with all my strength and slapped him as hard as I could before walking back to Daniel, Lina and Stoffel.

"Can we go please?" I asked them, grabbing my jacket and bag.

"You okay babe?" Dan asked worried as he grabbed my hand gently

"I'll tell you on the way back but can we please just get out of here" I practically begged and he looked at Lina and Stoff before nodding.

"Of course we can, Lina and Stoff you two can stay if you want, I'm going to take Case home" Dan stood up and grabbed my hand as we walked out the restaurant.

"Bye Case" Elliott said as he walked past us and it made my skin crawl, making me grip Dan's hand tighter.

Once we were outside Daniel pulled me to the side

"What happened?" He asked with concern

"Elliott happened, I went to get some fresh air and he came out and he said a bunch of stuff and he kissed me, I promise I didn't kiss him back, I pushed him off and slapped him. I feel so sick, I just want to get away from here" as soon as I saw the look on Daniel's face, I automatically regretted telling him.

The rage built up inside him and before I knew what was happening he had stormed into the restaurant.

"Daniel! Don't, he's not worth it" I shouted after him, and thankfully Stoffel saw it coming so he grabbed Daniel and held him back before he could do anything.

"You're a piece of shit you know that? Who do you think you are kissing my girl? You let her go! You're lucky that I'm being held back right now because I would kill you" Daniel spat at Elliott as everyone in the restaurant was staring at us.

"Excuse me madam, but if you don't calm him down, I will have to call the police" I heard a waiter say to me before walking away.

"Daniel, look at me. I love you okay? Nothing is going to change that. Now, let's just go home and forget about him, he's just trying to make things difficult for us, let's not let him win" I told him sternly as I stood in front of him with my hands on his cheeks.

"Fine" was all he said before shoving Stoffel off him and walking to the car.

Well...looks like I'm in for a night of hard work...
