"Passengers we are now landing in London, England, so please put your seatbelts on and prepare for landing."

I made sure my seatbelt was buckled, sighing quietly as I leaned my head against the side of the plane, staring out the window. This was it. My new home. From the airplane window, it looked like any other city. But I knew it wouldn't feel like that once I actually walked around.

After the plane landed, I grabbed my purse and slung it over my shoulder, standing up to grab my carry-on from the compartment. I rolled it behind me, following everyone else off the plane.

Once I had gotten into the airport, I had to figure out the way out. It was a rather large airport, and it's not like I had ever been there before. I followed other people to the main area of the airport, and went out the doors.

Outside, there were multiple cars lined up, waiting for people. I had arranged for an Uber to come pick me up, so now I just had to find it. I looked around for a good 5 minutes before finding the right one, and I placed my suitcase in the trunk before getting in the back.

"Thank you for picking me up." I said, shutting the door before buckling up and turning to look at the man who was driving. He smiled back and nodded a bit, pulling out into the street.

"Yeah, no problem. How was your flight?" He asked, just trying to make small conversation. The app had told me earlier that his name was Harold. He looked quite like a Harold to me.

"It was pretty good, but very long." I said, laughing a bit as I looked out the window.

"Ah, I see. Where did you come from?" He asked, keeping his eyes on the road. I debated whether or not to tell the truth, but I figured that since he is just an Uber driver it wouldn't matter.

"New York, actually." I said, nodding a bit as I glanced at him. He raised his eyebrows a bit, nodding as he listened to me.

"I've heard New York is pretty nice. I figured you were from the states because of your accent." He said, chuckling a bit. I nodded and laughed lightly.

"Yeah, it is weird to think that I'm going to sound different than most people here. Just because most people in New York are American." I said, looking back out the window at the scenery. We were passing by fields and lots of greenery, which was gorgeous. I already loved it here.

We reached the part of the city that my new apartment was in. I knew that it wasn't the nicest part of the city, but it also wasn't the most dangerous or anything. I had gotten a pretty good deal considering how quickly they let me move in. It was also not too expensive, and it had just the right amount of space for me.

"Thank you again for taking me here. I think my payment went through on the app..?" I said, looking at him as I unbuckled my seatbelt.

"Oh, yes, I got your payment. And no problem, I hope you enjoy it here." He said, smiling as he unlocked the doors so I could get out. I nodded a bit and opened the door, getting out and shutting it behind me. I opened the trunk and got my suitcase out, rolling it up to the steps of my new apartment. It actually looked a lot better than I thought it would. I picked up my suitcase and walked up the steps, grabbing the key from my purse. I opened the door, stepping in and shutting it behind me.

The entryway was nice, there was nothing in it, but I knew there would be boxes waiting for me in main room. I walked into the living room, and there were the boxes. There weren't many, but I was going to go shopping later this week. Probably tomorrow.

I looked around, noticing that the kitchen and living room were attached, which would be helpful. I walked back down the hallway, looking for the bedroom. There were only two doors down the hallway, one was the bathroom and one was my bedroom.
