When the shock wears off, I start thinking.
Thinking about loads of things - mostly questions.
Like, for example-.
"Does anyone have any idea why someone stitched a vegetable and an animal together?!" Melody hisses to the others.
"Mel- umm... I think that creature was hatched that way. Looks pretty natural to me," Andy replies. I don't really hear them, though.
I think back to once, when we were travelling. We were all doing casual stuff, apart from those steering, when it happened. Melody sounded surprised when she suddenly called to me that there was a cat out there. When we brought the cat aboard, he introduced himself as Calico, though in reality he said he was Calico Jack. Or, rather, Calico Jack Cat. That's certainly a mouthful.
Well, anyway, Calico wasn't someone you'd forget easily. He was a pirate, but not the destroying-ships-for-fun kind. He only went after long-lost ships and treasures. We gave him a ride to the location of the treasure chest he was looking for.
But that still isn't the point.
The point is, this ginger cat looked almost exactly like him. It was even in his posture.
And- didn't Calico Jack Cat once mention his grandson, who had apparently joined an undersea crew of seven or eight?
It's a small world, I guess...
(A.N.: Okay, so this didn't go QUITE how I planned... D:)
