Picking up the cigarette off the floor, he crushed it on his hand. Not feeling the burning sensation due from anger raging in his body.

"How the hell does she put up with that.." he mumbled as he wiped his hand on his shirt.

Finally walking back into his apartment. He looked over on the couch to see no little ball of joy laying there.

Looking around, he finally noticed a light shine through the bottom of the closed bathroom door.

Chance ran his fingers through his hair as he  walked over and knocked gently on the door. "Ashley..? You okay..?".

Wiping her dried tears from her face. She looked into the bathroom mirror and replied snubbing "y-yeah, just a bad dream".

Chance felt his heart shatter at her little snubs as she tried to hold herself together. Placing his hand on the bathroom door knob, and twisting it.

Ashely did so too, pulling as he pushed the door open. Once their eyes met, she smiled a bit and walked past him.

turning around, his smile faded as he saw her heading towards the door and ran over to her blocking it.

"Where are you going?" He asked as he watched her closely.

"Oh, my dads at work right now so I should Go there for a bit and leave you guys be." He didn't want her to leave, and he wouldn't let it happen.

"No, me and my mother love you being here. Let's go grab your stuff and come back here. Okay?" He said sternly.

He could see her ease up as she nodded her head and they both headed out the door and down the hallway.

Walking behind her, he watched her little body move as her eyes moved around the hallway. He could tell she was nervous by how she slowed down and looked around a bit more.

He wanted to let her know that she would always be safe with him. That he'd die before someone laid a hand on her precious little head.

Finally making their way to her apartment, she took a key above a light box on the wall and pushed the door open slowly.

She put her hand up, "It'll only take a moment, keep watch" she smiled as she turned around. He watched her walk in, and open a door and disappear around a wall.

Yawning, he leaned back against the hallway wall and watched the entrance door. Only to jolt forward as the apartment door slammed. His eyes widened when he could hear the bolts lock.

Banging and trying to force the door open, it was no use. He resorted to kicked but the door was too thick.

"DAMNIT!" He yelled as he continued to yell and kick the door. He ran back to his apartment in a rush hoping to grab something to get the door open.

Turning around slight shocked at the door shutting, Ashley turned from her packed clothes and slowly walked into the living room.

Looking around the dark room, she walked over to the door. Feeling a movement behind her, she turned around only to get a blow to the side of her face.

Falling to the floor, she winced as she covered the side of her face. She heard the drunken monster chuckle and spit on the ground.

"You ain't ever leaving me girl" he laughed and walked into the kitchen to pour more of his drink.

Keeping her eyes down, a tear ran down her newly bruise forming cheek. She sighed and stood up, forcing the words out of her mouth.

"What would you like the eat, father?"

Her insides felt like mush as she watched him smirk, walking over to her slowly. "You know what I want girl" he pushed his finger in the middle of her chest hard.

"I'll make a deal girl, if I can find a woman within two weeks, you'll be free to leave and stay with the rotten boy" he scoffed.

Her heart leaped a beat at his words that brought a little light. But only to be destroyed at what as soon to be said.

"But if you don't" he smirked. "You'll be my new toy girl, forever".

She didn't have words after that brutal sentence crushed her insides. She gulped looking up at the smug monster who walked into his room.

With a tear running down her pink bruised cheek once again she sighed and opened her phone.
