Jake POV
I grabbed Joseph and I walked to the door. I looked for Anthony and wasn't anywhere so I looked outside and I saw him talking to Corey. I walked through the kitchen and Erika was talking to chad.
Erika:hi.
Jake ran outside and gave Joseph to Anthony
Jake:please bring him somewhere safe I can't have something happening to him.
Anthony walked in closed the door and stood there watching.
Corey:jake give me my son.
Jake:IM SICK AND TIRED OF ALL YOU FUCKING ABUSERS COMING HERE FOR MY KID. YOU LEFT HIM I TOOK HIM AND SAVED HIM. NOW LEAVE YOU ASS WHOLE.
Corey walked up and punched Jake in the nose. Jake got on top of Corey with a bloody nose and busted lip and continued to punch him until his knuckles were bloody.
Jake:that's what you get you son of a bitch.
Jake called the cops and they came and got Corey while Jake just sat there trying to catch his breath.
Joseph:DADDY.
Anthony gave Joseph to Jake.
Jake:hey buddy.
Anthony:why did you do that and why is he going to jail.
Jake:him and Chloe use to abuse me. They had Joseph in a random house so that he would die but I took him to a hospital.
Anthony:are they your parents.
Jake:sadly yes.
Anthony:okay well we're gonna go into the kitchen and get you cleaned up.
Jake:okay my lip hurts a lot.
Anthony:helps Jake to the kitchen and takes Joseph so that Jake can take off his shirt. Jake layed on the counter with his shirt over his head and Joseph on his chest and Anthony was looking at his hand. Anthony squeezed jakes hand and Jake kicked him in the shoulder.
Anthony:ow man
Jake:that's what you get.
Joseph:daddy.
Jake lifts the shirt and Joseph is looking at jake.
Jake:hi buddy.
Jake got up and then picked Joseph up and he held his hand in the air.
Anthony:jake get your ass back here.
Jake walked into his room and chad and Erika were talking on jakes bed.
Anthony:jake let me see your hand.
Jake:no I got it.
Anthony:what about your nose and lip.
Jake:just follow me and hold Joseph.
Jake hands Joseph to Anthony and gulfs his head up and walks to the bathroom.
Anthony:jake you need stitches.
Jake:no I don't.
Anthony follows Jake into the bathroom and Jake opens the bottom cabinet and gets some gauze pads and a bandage and a kit for stitches.
Anthony:your not giving yourself stitches.
Jake:I've done it many times I can do it this time.
Jake starts to give himself stitches.
Jake:holy fuck it's been 5 months since I did this.
Anthony:what do you mean by that.
Jake:I use to get abused a lot and fix myself up instead of going to the hospital.
Anthony:you always told me you fell down your broken stairs is that why you never let me go over.
Jake:ya.
Jake finishes.
Jake:okay I'm done
Anthony:jake your face. And you need to put a bandage on.
Jake puts a bandage on them.
Anthony:your face.
Jake: it's fine.
Anthony:Jake your bleeding.
Jake walks out of the bathroom with Joseph.
Jake:Anthony I'm fine if I wasn't fine I would tell you to bring me too the hospital.
Anthony:jake Joseph Paul you know damn well that if you were hurting you wouldn't tell me.
Jake:Anthony I've told you 3 times I've went through what I just went through about 100 times I just never won.
Anthony:jake still what if your hurt.
Jake:I'm fine I'm standing I just gave myself stitches and I am holding my child.
Chad:who isn't your child.
Joseph:daddy. *crying*
Jake:hey buddy don't cry.
Joseph:daddy*crying*
Jake hugs Erika while bouncing him up and down.
Jake:hey buddy calm down it's okay I'm Wright here. Anthony hold him for 1 second.
Jake takes off his shirt.
Chad:what is showing off your abs gonna do.
Jake:this.
Jake picks Joseph back up and he rest his head on jakes chest and stops crying.
Anthony:how did that work.
Jake:it's worked ever since I brought him to the hospital. The doctor said it's because he was hurt and if something bad happens he wants to feels someone's chest. Idk I wasn't really listening.
Anthony:and this is why we don't trust Jake and hospitals.
Jake:hey I hate hospitals I just wanted to get out.
Anthony:oh.
Jake:ya.
Jake was just standing there holding Joseph.
Anthony:what would you do if you didn't have Joseph.
Jake:I honestly would probably die. I know he is just a baby but if he wouldn't of been born I wouldn't of had a reason to run away and even though he is only 5 months old he puts me on a schedule I love this little dude.
Erika:aww that was cute.
Anthony:what would you do if you didn't have me.
Jake:oh my life would be better.........no I'm just kidding your my Ohio brother. Don't tell chance but we have a better connection. You helped me through a lot and I mean like a lot. I just remember the day we met in elementary school.
Anthony:tell everybody how we met.
