Rain poured down, and the thunder flashed, causing me to shudder.

"No snow today..." I muttered, glancing out the window.

The sounds from the kitchen caught my attention, and I turned back to the kitchen. It was spaghetti again, just as it usually was. Sighing, I slunk down lower into the couch.

"Sans! Come set the table!" Papyrus called from the kitchen, and I groaned. "I want you to get to work with food in your system, brother!"

Heaving myself from the couch, I trudged through the living room and into the kitchen. Yawning, I rubbed my eyes as I went to the utensil drawer. I pulled out forks, then got out the plates.

"Thank you!" Papyrus said cheerfully, smiling broadly at me. "Here you go!"

He put a large heap of spaghetti on my plate.

"Bone apetite." I said, grinning at him. He cast an angry look at me, but said nothing.

We ate in near silence, with the scattered comment from Papyrus, then, when I was done, I scooted away from the table.

"I should get going." I said, yawning again.

I pulled my hood up, glaring up at the sky as I left the house, stepping heavily along the path.

The stand was soaking wet, as well as my jacket, but I went behind it and opened the door. It was mostly dry inside, and I shrugged off my jacket, sitting down in the chair.

The rain was peaceful, and as early as it was, I quickly dozed off. But a crack of lightning quickly woke me up again, and I looked around, alarmed.

There was no one around that I could see, as the rain was quite thick, so I relaxed again. I shivered, but one glance at my jacket made me try to just ignore it. My jacket was still soaking, and hanging it up seemed to have done nothing.

Mumbling something even I couldn't recognize as intellegent words, I slowly closed my eyes again, and drifted off to sleep once more.

The next time I woke up it wasn't because of the lightning. A sick feeling was creeping up me, but I didn't know what it was. My eyes searched the rainy scene, trying to cik out any moving shapes. But the next flash of light caught my attention, because it didn't look like lightning. No, it wasn't from the sky. From the sound of it, a portal had opened nearby.

I squinted, muttering a curse under my breath that I couldn't see anything past five feet. But as I leaned forward, I could see the portal, still open, not too far away from me. I watched the portal intentely, not moving a single bone in fear of missing something.

Then, a dark shape hurtled out of it. I heard a noise, indescribable but clearly pained. I jumped up out of my seat, rushing from the stand. I ran, my feet splashing through the deep puddles, to the shape. As I got closer, I saw that it was something living, lying on its back. I kneeled down, rolling the something over, and was surprised to see that it was another skeleton. It looked exactly like me, except there were deep gashes and wounds, most of them bleeding, all over on the visible bone, and it was wearing a collar. They were passed out, and I wasn't completely sure that they were even breathing.

My shock only lasted a moment, as my mind cleared, thinking of only one thing: I needed to get them back to the house.

I picked them up, ignoring the weight of them, and ran as fast as I could back to the house, pounding on the door with my foot. Papyrus opened it, and saw that there was someone in my arms. He quickly got out of the way, and I rushed in, quickly but gently setting the skeleton on the couch.
