Chapter 5: Uncle?

~(Y/N)'s POV~
I was sitting on my couch waiting for Luna to come. "Pfft! I know right!" I hear Serphina say. I look over to see her walking downstairs while on her phone. I rolled my eyes and close my eyes to hear random stuff. Because I'm part Night Fury I can hear better then werewolves can. But their pretty close to my hearing distance though. I soon hear footsteps and a loud knock on the door. My eyes shot open to see Serphina answering the door "heya Luna! Here to pick up (Y/N) I'm guessing?" Serphina said and I can barley see Luna. "Yep! Is (Y/N) here?" Luna asked and Serphina nods "but be careful. She's been quiet all morning. That usually means that shes just getting use to your noises" Serphina whispers to Luna and I throw I pillow at her. "YOUR MAKING ME SOUND LIKE I'M A CREEP" I shout "INSIDE VOICE!" I hear Dad yell "SAYS THE ONE WHO'S YELLING TO!" I hear Luna giggle and Serphina groan. "Well come on! Ya don't want Luna to wait any longer do you?" Serphina said and I glare at her before going over to Luna is. "Hey dude!" Luna said and I smile at her "hey Luna" I said "welp! Have fun!" Serphina yelled while pushing me out the door and almost into Luna. Serphina shuts the door and Luna grabs my hand "come on brah!" Luna yelled and ran to their van. We got in and I sat beside Luna. "Next stop! To Papa's!" Poppa Loud yelled and everyone cheered besides me. What should I do? What should I say? What happens if I say something wrong?! Will they hate me?! Will they be annoyed that I'm coming?! ARE THEY ALREADY ANNOYED?! I asked in my head and I start feeling uncomfortable. I barely know them and I'm riding in their van and soon gonna see a family member. Honestly, who wouldn't be? At least I'm one of the people that gets nervous a lot because of my secret and stuff. But since they know about my families secret now I'm even more on edge. What happens if they tell anyone just to be famous? They wouldn't be good...at least for my family but for the Louds they will probably be paid by millions of dollars. Mom and Dad said since I'm the last of my kind anyone will pay millions of dollars just to buy me. I feel scared now. I keep on looking around uncomfortably while everyone rather laughed or argued. Luna must have felt the uncomfortable feeling from me since she gave me a worried smile "you ok dude?" Luna asks and I jumped a little before looking at her. She giggled "hey it's ok. I won't hurt ya I promise" Luna said "oh! W-well sorry. I'm just nervous you know? Riding with 13 people that I don't really know and I'm going to meet another family member. Also, theres my 'secret'. Usually when I tell people about it they tell everyone they know just to be famous. That's why we needed to move. My place got extremely violent because they we're fighting over who tells the whole world about me" I explained. Luna smiled and pat my back "don't worry. We won't tell" Luna said and I smile back "thanks" "we're here!" Rita said and I look out the window to see a elder center thing. We got out and I see a elder with white hair like Lincoln's. "Hey family!" He said "Pop Pop!" They yelled and hugged the elder. "And who did you bring today?" Pop Pop said and walked over to me "that's (Y/N)! She's our new neighbor and friend!" Lana said "why hello there (Y/N)! I'm Pop Pop! You know your Uncle has been talking about you a lot" Pop Pop said "wait you mean Uncle Jean? I thought he died a long time ago" I said raising an eyebrow "nope! He's actually in his room. But he doesn't want visitors right now" First, he lies about his own death and now he doesn't want visitors?! I'm going to get to the bottom of this! I said and I take a deep breath "well, you better go with your family" I said "what about you?" Rita asks "I just don't wann get in the way. Besides, I have some catching up to do with his friends. If he isn't letting visitors in then might as well get some info from his pals" I mumbled "well, ok. Just find us if you need us" Poppa Loud said before they walked in. I walked in and looked around "ok from what I know he's friends with that mean old lady. But she's nicer if you know her well" I said and looked around. I finally find her inside the cafeteria. "Hey Lody!" I said and she looked at me "(Y/N)! Glad to see ya" She said "good to see you to Lody" I said and she groaned "I wish you didn't call me that" I giggled "hey uh, I have a question" "what is it?" "Why is my Uncle not letting anybody visit him? Heck, why did he fake his own death?!" "Wish I knew kid. But didn't tell why he faked his own death or why he's not letting people in. Sorry kid" I sighed "it's fine..." I ran out of the room and upstairs. I walked up to his door and knocked "I TOLD YOU FOR THE LAST TIME! I DON'T WANT VISITORS!" I hear Uncle Jean yell "Uncle Jean! It's me! (Y/N)!" I yelled banging on the door. He opens the door a little "(Y/N)?" He whispered in his deep voice and I nod "Uncle what's going on?" I asked and he sighed. He opens the door wide "come in. I guess it's time you know why I faked my death" Jean said and I walked in. He sat on his bed and I look at him. He was very healthy. He looked like he's 18, he has brown hair, brown eyes, chestnut skin, a white t-shirt, black jeans, and has scars all over his body. "Listen, (Y/N), I know that your mad and confused but I can explain" He said and I nod for him to continue "you see, I wanted everyone to think I'm dead. To not be apart of the family anymore" "I don't get it. Why do you want to be kicked out of the family? To be forgotten?" "Because I don't want to be in danger anymore. To hide who I really was. To hide my cat form. I thought that if I fake my own death then I'll be free but it just made it worse. I can't see you guys anymore, I can't explore just in case if you or the others saw me or saw me on TV for whatever reason. I just wanted to be free, but, that's what you get for living in a cruel yet beautiful world" Uncle Jean explained and I look down in sadness. I didn't know what to say. What can I say? I mean, I want the same thing to. But he can't fly or anything like dragons do. He feels more trapped then I do. We sat there in silence before I spoke "well, I better go. But I'll tell everyone your alive, so you can see us again and feel more free" I said while standing up "but it's-" I cut Jean off "it's not to late" I smile at him and he smiles back. I walk out of the room and close the door behind me. I walk downstairs to see everyone waiting for me. I sighed and walked out. "There you are! Where we're you?! We've been waiting for about 5 minutes by now!" Lola scolded. I didn't say anything. I just looked down in sadness and guilt. Did I really walked out of that room without saying 'I love you' or "goodbye'? I'm a horrible person. "Sweetie what's wrong?" Rita asks. No answer. I just shrugged and kept looking down. I'm sorry Uncle. "Well, let's get inside then" Poppa Loud said and we get in Vanzilla. I sat beside Luna again but this time I was silent. Not making a peep. Sure I coughed a couple of times but the others couldn't hear because they we're being so loud you couldn't even hear a cop's sirens. I look up a little to see Luna looking at me with a sad look and she did a sad smile when we made eye contact. "Hey Puddin, you ok?" She asked and I didn't answer but gave her puppy eyes. Sad ones. Luna pulled me closer and I blushed a little "you can tell me whenever you want, ok dude?" Luna asked and I nod with a slight smile. Luna smiles back before Rita yelled "we're here!" And we got out of the van. We walked inside and sat down to watch TV. Luna put her arm on my head because I'm shorter then her only by a few inches. I groaned and hear Luna's phone buzz. I look over to see Luna texting someone "who are you texting?" I asked "my girlfriend dudette!" Luna said happily and I feel my heart shatter. Oh no...do I have feelings for Luna?! Crap, I think I do! My heart just broke so that means my Night Fury side will take over and who knows what I'll do! GAH! This is to much! I yelled in my head. "I-I have to go...my parents will get mad and Serphina will get worried" I said and stood up making Luna fall onto her side. "It's ok. We understand. We'll see you soon, right?" Lori said and I nod "thanks for understanding and yes, we'll see eachother again" I said before dashing out the door and into my house. I slam the door behind me and ran upstairs and into my room. I flopped onto my bed and start crying. Will my life get any better?
