Chapter 13: Blood?

~(Y/N)'s POV~
I was playing with a softball in my dragon form like a kitten. Lately I've been acting more...dragon. Luna hasn't been visiting or calling lately but I shrug it off since dad probably told her to stay away from me for a day or so since it was Mr. Brown's order. I chased the ball down the hall and watch as ir bounced down the stairs. I wait for it to stay still before rolling my shoulders while getting ready to pounce on it. When the doorbell rung I pounce at it and landed on it, almost squishing it. My ears perked up when someone knocked on the door. I look out the window to see Luna with something in her hand but I couldn't tell what it is. I open the door with my mouth and Luna smiled at me. "Hey Puddin, how you doing?" Luna asked while patting my head making me purr. I licked her hand and face but rather Luna yelling 'Puddin' she giggled instead. I smiled my toothless smile. I turn back to normal and kissed her nose "I'm good" I said with a smile. Luna smiled and kissed my cheek "that's good" Luna said but really, I'm not doing so well. Still hurting a little. "So what are you doing here? I don't remember you calling me" I said and Luna giggles "I just wanted to see my girlfriend. Also I got you this" Luna said and pulled out some chocolate that's shaped in a heart. I wag my tail and grabbed it "aww, thank babe" I said and kissed her which she gladly returns. "Here come in" I said and stepped aside for her to come in. She sat down on the couch and I sat down beside her. "So how have you been? Got any shows?" I asked while putting my head on her shoulder and look up at her "I've been good and I did get a gig at Walter's Pizzeria" Luna said and I smile "that's great! Walter is my Uncle's best friend" I said "geez dude is your family everywhere?" Luna said and I laugh a little "maybe". We sat there cuddling for about 10 minutes until more pain came. I hold back a groan but I do arch my back a little. "You ok love?" Luna asks looking down at me with worried eyes. I smile "yea. I just uh...need to go to the bathroom" I said while standing up. Luna seems to be more worried but nods anyway. I walk to the bathroom and lock the door. I go to the toilet and I cough out a little blood. "Dang it...I thought I was cured" I mumbled to myself as I feel blood run down the side of my mouth. I arch my back when I hear a knock on the door "you ok Puddin? I heard you cough" Luna asks and I start panicking "y-yea! I'm fine but I think you should leave" I said "ok but call if you need me" Luna said "ok!" I soon hear faint footsteps and the front door open and close. I sighed and wipe away the blood. I walk to my room and call Dr. Brown "hey Brown I have a problem" I said "what seems to be the problem?" Brown asks "I'm coughing out blood and I think the virus isn't gone" I said and I hear him hum on the other line "how much did you cough?" "Not a lot but enough to make my girlfriend worry" "well luckily the scientists got the flower anyway since they think Luna's kisses didn't work to well and seems like they we're right. I'll tell them right away but until then I need you to try your best not to cough and not let Luna see. She might get furious and argue with us like the others did when their lover didn't get cured" "ok. I will try my best" "good" Brown then hangs up. I sighed and walk downstairs. I feel like coughing but I held it in. I look out the window to see Luna and the others playing outside. I look at the door before back at them "maybe I can take a walk to clear my mind" I said to myself before walking out and walking slowly to their house. I took a deep breath before walking faster. I started walking by until Luna saw me and ran to me "hey Puddin!" Luna said and hugged me. I hugged back hesitantly. Don't cough I think to myself "you wanna play with us?" Lynn asks while Luna pulled away don't cough "s-sure!" I said don't cough I walk over with Luna and grabbed a ball but then Lola drove by and dust came to me, making me cough I coughed. I quickly hide my hand behind my back when I saw blood on it. "Show me your hand" Luna demanded and I smile nervously before shaking my head. Luna then grabs my arm and yank it forward to see blood on my hand. They gasp and I quickly yank back my arm. I throw the ball down and ran to my house while I hear the others following. I ran inside and locked it. I hear knocking on the window and I look over to see Luna looking pretty mad. I gulped and waved with a nervous smile. I walk over and mouth a 'sorry' before covering the windows with the certains. "Why did I have to cough?" I mumbled to myself before the door broked down. I shot my head over to see that Lynn broke it down. Darn it I thought before running upstairs while avoiding my girlfriend grabbing my arm. I ran in and lock the door but this time I blocked it with so many stuff it wasn't even funny. I sighed and sat down on my bed while hearing them talking over themselves and banging on the door. My phone buzzed and I look at it to see Luna had texted me. It said 'OPEN THE DOOR! PLEAAAASE!' before she actually yelled it "OPEN THE DOOR! PLEAAAASE!" I groaned before putting my face in one of my pillows. This is gonna be a looong day I thought.
