The lake looks so pretty. The sunset glistened on the water's surface, adding an orange tint to the calm waves as well as the vast sky. Hues of purple, pink, and so many other colors made it aesthetically pleasing to me. The trees added a healthy green.
Who would've thought that if you would add all those beautiful colors together, they would create a murky brown. A horrible color.
So readers, don't judge a book by its cover. Or as Kakashi likes to call it, look underneath the underneath.

Let's get on with the story!

The warm rays of the sun hugged me. It wrapped around my body, like an anaconda to its prey. But the sun's warmth is inviting and warm. So very warm.

Nope, it's hot. Way too hot. Although the lake and sunset create an amazing piece, it's just too hot to enjoy. Sweat slid down my back, soaking into my shirt. Ugh, I'll stink like a raccoon tomorrow.
I just wanted to get out of the building that has way too many babies and too little caretakers.
It doesn't help that its summer, which means sweat will just stink up the house.

Looking down, the small pebbles were surrounding me. I squatted down to take a closer look at them. There were ants and all kinds of small creatures surviving between the cracks of rocks. Searching, hunting and doing all they can to survive. The best entertainment around here was sadly those little guys.

I flipped over rocks and peered under logs. They only caught my attention for a short time. It's kinda sad to see insects fight, devouring each other for survival. Especially since they always die in the end.

I started kicking around the rocks in a bored manner, it flew up and fell into the lake, creating ripples. Oh! I can try skipping rocks! Picking one up, I threw it like a frisbee. Again and again, before I knew it, I was on the 24th one.

C'mon. You gotta skip! Giving my 24th pebble a mini hug, I gave it a light toss. Staring at the small rock, it looked like it was a skipper. In anticipation, a small grin started, slowly getting wider as the pebble made more ripples on the surface.

Wha-! Suddenly gravity pushed me down as my legs fell from underneath.

SPLASH

How'd I get in the water?! A cold wash hit my body. Despite the lake's calm appearance, it had a strong current, that quickly pushed me down.

PUSH

I desperately grabbing on to a large rock that seemed to be buried beneath the dirt. My hair stuck onto my skin as I tried to push up, breaking the surface for precious air before falling back down. The water only got stronger.

PUSH

My shoes kept slipping from the rocks, my only leverage was my hands on that rock, but they were about to slip too. I-i ccant hold my breathh! AIR, OXYGEN, WHERE ARE YOU!

PUSH

My fingers slipped from the slippery rock, my only lifeline, before I knew it, I was roughly pushed. My head only fell deeper into the lake as the current pushed me down. I-I can't! Help! The vision became darker, no sound entered my ears. The further I fell, the colder it got. I could only flap my arms and kick my legs, before surrendering to my impending doom and losing consciousness.

Stupid Pebble.
