Dark brown boots, caramel coloured leather leggings, caramel button shirt made from the finest velvet. A grey cloak flowed from his back and dragged on the floor about three feet behind him. The emblem of the royal family, angel wings with a crown floating above them, was sewn into the velvet. The heir crown sat on his loosely plaited auburn hair and golden rings with massive gems covered his hands.
In his wings were golden and silver clips to make them shine even more and glitter. His wings had an almost metallic appearance.
Focis hung at his hip, the massive red diamond that served as the pommel was polished to shine brightly. This was his clothing on the day Gabe took his father's throne.
And it was a wonderful day indeed.
The whole city of In Tutum was decorated with red, blue, silver and gold flowers that the angels grew for the coronation ceremony. Flags with the angel sigil on it waved from each building and smaller flags were strung between the buildings. The trees were bent and stretched out to make a canopy over the city which then descended into darkness. But the blackness was lit up my magical balls of fire that floated in the air near the canopy and around the buildings.
In Tutum appeared as a mystical city from a fairytale that was told of to little children by their parents at night. An orchestra constantly played softly in the background and everyone was dressed in gold. The men in golden armour with the angel symbol and the little boys, girls and grown women each in a golden chiton emblemed with the sigil as well.
It had been three days since Luciana's prosecution. But in those days no one had any chance to mourn her or to ponder over it. Everyone was in a jovial and gleeful mood with the coronation looming magnificently and besides, they were all too busy preparing and working to give their minds time to wander.
Gabe's feelings were in a maelstrom of excitement and worry, but he trained and helped with the preparations constantly to silence his thoughts. It did work, but as he stood in front of the palace's closed doors he lost all control.
He didn't know if he was ready to become king yet. Father told him everything he needed to know about leading a world and being a just leader yet Gabe was concerned that in times of crisis he would be at a loss for knowledge.
The doors swung inward and Bill along with twelve other guards all everyone dressed in golden bejeweled armour and flowing silver capes, stood waiting. They held massive silver spears in their hands and stood at attention.
Bill smiled at Gabe and bowed before him,
"My soon-to-be-crowned king! It is our honour to escort you to the tree of kings. Please follow us."He nodded and stepped out of the palace. Gabe looked around at how beautifully In Tutum was made and just for him.
The soldiers lowered their heads to respectfully acknowledge him and then they all flew into the air.
It was one of the most beautiful flights Gabe had ever taken. His wings were a bit heavier from the gold and silver, but they flew just as good if only a bit slower. He flew through the floating fireballs flanked on all sides by his guards.
In the streets of In Tutum people danced and sang while they moved towards the tree of kings. The children chased each other or small dogs and laughed and talked while their superiors sang songs of battle and old kings and danced along the way. But that was only the non-angelic citizens.
The angels would already be waiting at the tree silent and in control. To them, the crowning of a new king held other significance than for the non-angels. A new king meant to them a new being with powers that can be stronger or weaker than theirs, but they have to listen too.
