I ran the mascara through my top eyelashes, my mouth hanging open revealing my white teeth. My blue eyes watched as Patria ate the pringles from my bed, “Why do you do that?” She asked crawling over, her head cocked to the side.
“Do what?” I asked I turned around quickly and took a couple of chips out of the can.
Patria rolled her eyes and fished around in the can, “The whole I-have-to-open-my-mouth-when-I-put-on-mascara.”
I flicked my head around and stared at her for a moment, my blue orbs searching her brown ones to see a joke. “Seriously?” I asked cautiously, “I would’ve thought that you would’ve known by now.”
Her brown hair tossed around as she shook her head, “Not a clue.”
I pinched the bridge of my nose for a second and sighed not wanting to cause a red mark on my skin, “It’s so that I don’t look stupid.” She gave me a skeptical look and I quickly continued, “When you put it on. You open your eyes really wide, it’s reflex to open your mouth so that you’re not just staring wide eyed.” I quickly demonstrated to prove my point.
The light haired brunette nodded and rocked herself on my bed, “I get it.”
I turned around and continued putting on my make-up, I have a date tonight and I have to look as good as possible! I put on the rest of my eyeshadow and put chapstick on. I was never one for lip gloss.
“Patria?” I asked turning around when I didn’t see her reflection in the mirror.
“What is is Eris?” She asked popping up from the other side of the bed her hair was tousled. I’m guessing that she went under it to look for something.
“I didn’t see you in the mirror. I was wondering where you went.” I said jumping onto the bed, careful of my hair.
Patria nodded and ducked back down, “I was looking for my phone. I heard it fall last night, but I was too lazy to actually pick it up.”
I giggled and stuck my head over the side of the bed, “Did you find it?”
“Nope. But I did find...a jar of Nutella?” She questioned coming back from under the bed her hair in even worse condition than before. I sighed.
I soon forgot about her hair and squealed, “Oooo! I want it!” I made child like grabby hands toward the brown jar. Patria looked up, her pale hands handed me the jar. I looked to my vanity and found a roll, reaching over I snatched it and began eating it by scooping it into the Nutella.
“Eris. You’re gonna stain your teeth before your date.” Patria said giving up on her search by pulling herself onto the foot of my bed.
I shrugged my strong shoulders, “Doesn’t matter. If Garrett truly loves me he can deal with my Nutella teeth, right?”
Patria fell back onto the bed, “Whatever. I don’t care.”
