Yukio's pov

I woke up in a cramped tiny place, that was bumping around and smelled like medicine and sanitary wipes. The sound of an ambulance siren blared in my ears. I groaned as I tried to sit up, but collapsed back down still groggy. Gasps of surprise escaped the mouths of the unfamiliar people around me. They hounded me with questions that I couldn't understand nor care to answer. Everything sounded distant...far away...as if it was all just a dream.

My eyelids were forced open as a bright light was flashed into my eye. Spots of color filled my vision. Murmurs of a miracle sounded around me. They were acting as if I wasn't going to breathe again when my brother was left all alone. A distant shout was heard at the front of the ambulance I was in and I felt a huge jolt from below the vehicle and the stretcher leave the floor and my body leave the stretcher. Everything around me seemed to be turning in slow motion. Everything was airborne. Everything was frozen in a state of pure shock, despite the fact that they all knew what would happen next.

The ambulance flipped over about 6 times. Everything was crashing and breaking against each other. When the vehicle finally slammed to a stop, my vision was full of a hot, sticky red. My head was spinning and I clearly had several broken bones. I had no strength to move. At this rate, I was bound to bleed to death...No! I can't! I can't die. Rin still needs me. He's expecting me to come back.

I mustered all the strength that was left in my broken body and pulled my limp body forward with my left forearm. The broken bones in the elbow and shoulder grinded together causing me to loudly curse. Tears threatened to pour out of my eyes. With all hope of returning to my dear brother gone, I let my tears flood down my cheeks. A loud sound of ripping metal could be heard directly above my head. Not caring about who was there I kept my head down on the cold metal of the ambulance floor.

"Yukio, won't you look at me?" a familiar sweet voice said. Unable to believe what my ears just heard, I slowly turned my head. My eyes went wide and my tears flooded out once more.
