As Macey Black and her family drove down the driveway to their new house, Macey looked outside of the window. "If this is our driveway I can't wait to see the house," she said excitedly. Her parents chuckled at her whilst her brother grimaced," well have fun looking because we are here," they announced.
Macey looked out of the window to see a big Victorian house nestled between a dark forest.
The porch of the house was supported by big white pillars with ivy twisted round them. The windows had shutters covering them but they were a dark green colour. The most beautiful part of the house was the turret on the side. " I want the turret!" shouted Macey jumping up and down in her seat. "Chill sister, it's just a turret and fine you can have it," said Isaac opening his car door. Macey opened her car door and leapt out landing on the gravel path.
As she walked up to the front steps, the dark trees next to the house creaked suddenly. "What was that ?" Macey asked looking around her before standing on the first wooden step. As she walked up the three wooden steps, her parents came up behind her," here's the key, you do the honours."
As Macey reached the door, she inserted the old key into the rusty lock and turned the key clockwise. The old door creaked open to reveal a hallway with a big guild mirror at the end." Wow this is amazing!" Macey said in awe looking around her as she walked through the doorway. Her parents and Isaac followed her, looking around them in shock. The walls were coated in a light layer of dust and the floor was a dark mahogany wooden floor.
To Macey's left was a spiral staircase which circled upwards and to her right was a half opened door. " I need to find the turret as I want it so much," said Macey looking around. Her parents came up behind her and said in her ear " Go up the spiral staircase." With that she was gone travelling up the spiral staircase to find the turret.
