Town

Maceys POV

"I'm off to go and explore in the town/village if you wonder where I am,"I said to my parents walking out of the door with a apple in my hand. I grabbed my bike which was leaning against the side of the house and got on. It is a proper mountain bike but I had a fall a couple of years so I only rode it around towns.

Pedalling down the long driveway brought a sense of peace over me, it was just me, my bike and my apple which I put in my drink holder. Nearing the end of the drive, I was beginning to hear cars drive past tooting their horns. I shook my head at this, why can't people just drive normally? I rolled my eyes and reached the massive iron gates at the end. I unlocked the gate and got out onto the road and that's where my breath was snatched.

The view down the hill was beautiful. Shops and houses lined the sides of the streets with ivy and Virginia creeper decorating the sides and front. There was a trickle of cars going down the road as I started to pedal on the footpath.

"Where shall I go first?" I asked my self. There was a brown sign which I pedalled to which said town centre one way and Stranraer the other way.

I went into the town centre to see if there was any other teenagers apart from me and Isaac but there was no one around.

"That's really odd," I thought to myself looking around me that there was no teenagers hanging around smoking like there was back in Wakefield.

As I descended the hill down, I started to come across more common shops like New Look and Topshop but one caught my eye. There was a little shop nestled between a pub and Primark called the Wolf Claw. From a glance, the outside had ivy slowly creeping up the side and a purple door which seemed to draw my gaze. "I wonder what's in there?" I asked myself walking towards the door.

I could see that the shop was open because there was lights on but I couldn't see in because the windows were tinted. "Well this will probably be the one time curiosity killed the cat!" as I turned the door knob and entered the Wolf Claw.
