Ella's POV

I slammed the bathroom door behind me, luckily there were no other girls in here, which was quite surprising as it was lunchtime and the majority of girls would usually stand in here chatting and do if their makeup with their friends. I, not surprisingly, wasn't one of those girls, and were never likely to become one.

Running into the nearest cubicle, I slammed the talk wooden door shut, quickly flicking the lock shit so that I wouldn't be disturbed by anyone entering the bathroom. Clutching my hair in between my small hands, tears streamed down my face and burnt as the flow of water ceased to stop. I didn't know what I was doing right now, let alone what I would do after i stepped outside the room. My life was a mess, an that's all it would ever be...

Between the sniffs and small noises that left my mouth, I heard a knock on the cubicle door. That was odd because I hadn't heard the main door open or slam shut as it usually did. Whoever was now here knew I was already sat in the room, as they had taken great care not to be noticed on their entrance.

"Ella?" I heard a croaky voice ask. They sounded as if they had been either nervous or anxious to speak and let me know that they were there. I was unsure as to who it was so I quietly muttered, "yes?"

"it's Ellie, Ellie Mard, from your class." What? what was going on right now? Ellie was in my class yes, but I had never even spoken to her before and I was unsure as to why she had suddenly decided to make contact now.

"I saw you run in here after I was sat on a table opposite Niall, and I saw what happened and decided to see if you were okay as I didn't want you to be, erm...alone?" she quietly muttered, as if she was constantly thinking what to say, and whether what she was about to say would be the right or wrong thing. "Oh right, well thank you for that Ellie but I don't want to spoil your lunch so it's okay, I'll be fine," I quickly replied so that she wouldn't recognise that I was slowly trying to push her away, as my life was already messed up enough without causing other people problems.

"No, come on Ella, seriously. Me and you can go and sit at a table and have lunch and go and talk about this situation or something else if you want, let's just get out of this smelly bathroom, before my lungs cease to ever work again from this intoxicating smell of girls perfume and spray," she rambled, chuckling at her last comment. Well I had to come out of here at some point, and she was right about the smell to be honest. Taking a deep breath I wiped the last of my tears away with the edge of my sleeve and unlocked the door pulling in open and stepping out, to be gratefully met with her open arms.
