"wake up....Wake up!!" A faint voice yelled. I blinked my eyes open to see my dad's head peeking through my door.

"Yeah yeah," I say waving my dad off. I put on my bunny slippers, brush my hair, washed up, and then went out to the kitchen to eat breakfast.

I still had plenty of time before school started, so there was no rush in the morning. The smell of Ms. Kang's pancakes filled the living area had all of us drooling.

"Ms. Kang, I need you to teach me how to cook!" I said chewing on the soft cake.

"Of course! Maybe when you have some free time after you do your school work," she said. "Of course, I should probably teach your mother first."

"Hey! You can't tease me like that!" My mom says, mouth full of cake. "If I knew how to cook, then I would've never met you, Ms. Kang!"

We all laughed heartily and chattered for a bit longer. After we finished cleaning up, Ms. Kang put my lunch bag on the counter-top before leaving to her house.

I went back to my room and put on my brand-new uniform. It's the first day of school, although it didn't feel like it because this was my third time moving schools within a year! It's all because of my dad's business that we have to move around so much. It's not all that bad...It's just that I never get to really have friends.

After packing my bookbag and grabbing my lunch, my mom takes me to my new school.

I leave the car, saying goodbye to my parents.

"Bye Hun, be good in school!" My mom says. "Also, we won't be able to pick you up today because we both have to work overtime! Okay?"

"Okay!! Bye mom! Bye dad!" I say waving. I walk through the halls of the unfamiliar school, heading to my classroom.

My feet stop at the entrance of my homeroom. I took my time to release some of my built up anxiety and stress, and with a huff, I open the door.

I bow to the teacher and she says, "Sit wherever you want."

I analyze the open seats and decide on a seat in the middle of the class, infront of a boy who seemed to be sleeping.

I quietly unpack my binder and pencil case, but not necessarily doing anything. I stretch my legs and glance at the boy behind me, who was still faced down.

I take it upon myself to also rest my eyes, but that rest didn't last long, for classes had started. The school bells chimed through the halls, notifying everyone that homeroom had ended and regular classes started.

After I lifted my head from my desk, I saw that the classroom filled in with more students than before.

Our first class of the day was Reading Comprehension, but before we dived into lessons, our teacher introduced herself to the class.
