Behind the mask

"Morning Honey" Your mom says opening the curtains

"It's your day today" She pushes you towards the edge of the bed

The sun hits your eyes as it forces you to take a peek of the morning sunlight. You  cover your face with your blanket as it protects you from the sun.

"Go away " You moan

"You have to wake up so you can get ready early Honey" Your mom says

"Don't call me that" You growl 

She pulls your blanket and snatches it away from you. You open your eyes as the sun blinds you. You finally stand up walk towards the kitchen not bothering to say or look at her. She heads towards the kitchen as you check your phone.  You head towards the kitchen to  see your dad waiting while talking to that B*tch.

"Darling sit down it's time to eat" He points at the food on the table and starts to eat

"So today's your big day" He smiled at you

"Yeah" You smiled

The smile was fake

You start to eat . Today You were turning 16 and  It was the day you actually show yourself to your kingdom. You were always hidden behind a mask since your dad was overprotective ever  since the loss of your biological mom. After that your dad found a new woman he loved, but she didn't love him back. She just wanted to take over the kingdom and rule over the Kingdom without him.

You see your mom and dad talking to each other as they discuss about your 18th Birthday.

"Don't feel like eating" You said

You stood up from your chair and started to walk away

"Honey Your dress is just in your room make sure to call Diana" She said smiling at you disgustingly.

You knew she just smiled at you so your dad would think that she was the best and nicest mom even though she wasn't. You walked away and went back in your room. 

You Stepped in the bath tub to take a relaxing bath.

***TIME SKIP***

You got out from the bathtub and put on your dress. It was White with Black Flower and glitter at the bottom flowing upwards. 

"Diana!" You yelled

Diana was your best and only friend since you were a kid. She was also the daughter of your mom's best friend.

"Yes Your Majesty" She laughed

"I Told you not to call me that remember" You said 

"But Your dad Told me too since your already 16" She smiled

"So what did you want?" She said

"Can you help me prepare please" You pouted

You Pointed at the zipper behind your dress and pointed at the make up.

"Oh Okay" She laughed

You felt embarrassed that you didn't know how to do all these things because she was the person that was always preparing you.

"So Are you excited to meet 15 Handsome boys" She teased

"No!" You blushed

"I don't believe you" She laughed

She put the last finishing touches and put the crown on top of your head.

"I Look..."

"Beautiful" She smiles

You look in the mirror admiring the way you looked. You weren't into dresses but this was the second time you actually liked wearing a dress. The first time was when you wore a dress to your mom's birthday. 

You looked at yourself again. The thought of you meeting new people, Being in a place you have never been and maybe even falling in love . You never believed in love since the loss of your mom and your dad marrying your stepmom.

"Do You wanna go out now?" Diana asks

You nodded and walked towards the door to show yourself

"You look gorgeous Honey" Your Stepmom Smiles at you

You ignore her as she hisses at you. You snarl back as you turn your back away from her.

"You'll regret this later on" She hisses

You ignore again as you start walking towards the front door. You stop as you reach your hand out to open it. Your hand shakes in fear as you already know what is outside the door. You hear voices from outside as they await for your appearance.
