A War Ravaged Planet

For centuries a massive and unparalleled civil war ravaged the universe. Brother against brother, sister against sister, lover against lover. On a distant world, home to the birth of this unrelenting war, mechanical beings fought savagely against one another. This mechanical planet known as Cybertron was the birth place of the Transformers, a race of highly intelligent mechanical beings that could change their forms and feel emotion. The war started when one tyrannical Transformer murdered the leader of Cybertron's high council in cold blood. Once the great Sentinel Prime's Energon had been spilled, the planet erupted into chaos. The assassin, known as Optimus Prime, stood tall and rallied a loyal following that he named Autobots to attempt to take over the chaotic planet. The Autobots rode through cities and slaughtered all who dared to oppose their oppressive rule, and destroyed everything that they deemed worthless. But when the Cybertronian's hope seemed lost, one stood to challenge Optimus Prime and sought to end his reign of evil. His name echoed throughout the universe as a sign of hope and strength; Megatron. Optimus Prime and Megatron battled for millennia, the balance of power shifting between them more times than could be counted. Megatron's army of Transformers, he named Decepticons, fought for freedom and hope. After endless waves of destruction that resulted from this devastating conflict, Cybertron's very core, began to shut down, halting its production of Energon, the life blood of all Cybertronians. Megatron and his Decepticons fought bravely, but in the end could not save their home world. The Decepticons had no choice but to abandon their home and find a new world to take refuge. They scattered across the galaxy and eventually the Elite Decepticon Galactic Seekers (EDGS) discovered a small planet that was rich with raw energy. This planet was Earth. However when the Decepticons began to initiate landing protocols, they were attacked by an Autobot warship, commanded by none other than Optimus Prime himself along with his strongest warriors. The two ships fought and both were pulled down due to Earth's intense gravitational pull, and the two warring factions fell into a deep stasis lock. Millions of years later they awaken and their war continues. Earth was eventually destroyed and all organic life on the planet went completely extinct. After centuries of fighting, the Decepticons took refuge on Earth's moon while the Autobots vanished into hiding. That is where the story begins...
