Chapter one// fake diamond (edit later)
-Narrator's P.O.V-
The crowd clapped one more time for Diana, and she grinned. Her shift was almost over, and she could feel a pack of cigarette calling her name. She was about to get off the stage and out of her fake diamond glamour entire. Even though the outfit was covered in fake embezzlements, Diana wore it with pride. Half of her hair pushed to the side, while the other half stayed flawlessly on her shoulder. Dark red lipstick stained her lips, while the glistering dress hugged her body tightly. when she looked up her mouth curved to from a smirk has she noticed a flashy man catch her attention. He was conversing with a group of men, probably important business partners. She couldn't just let this chance go. she reached for the mic and started singing, an alto note came out
"Happy birthday to you"
some claps came from the audience, they probably thought this was an encore
"Happy birthday tooooo yoooooouuu" she sang a little louder, catching the guys attention.
He smirked at her and took a seat at one of the sliver table. The waiter automatically placed a drink on the table, Black Whisky, Tim's favorite.
"Happy Birthday Mr. President,
Happy Birthday to you." Diana kept singing, her voice gave the whole room a nostalgic glow. The place was surprisingly packed, but all Diana could focus on was Jim.
"Thank's Mr. President
For all the things you've done
The battles you've won !"
Jim started to smile and it couldn't help but make Diana smile too.
"The way you deal with US Steel
And our problems by the ton,
We thank you, so much.
Everybody, Happy Birthday!" Diana raised her hand motioning for everyone to come in. Everybody laughed and the crowd sang along for Jim. It felt like in the olden day, when employees would sing to a kid for his birthday.
But still even with all the attention he was getting, his eyes were fixed on her. Everyone wanted his attention, but it was all glued on Diana. Moments like this was what cause a burning desire inside of Diana, her eyes were completely covered in lust. No one understood why she ever loved Jim, but moments like this made her wonder how she could ever live another second with out him.

Diana p.o.v
I was always an unusual girl.
My mother told me I had a chameleon soul, no moral compass pointing due north, no fixed personality; just an inner indecisiveness that was as wide and as wavering as the ocean...
But then again what the hell would she know. Our relationship was tainted due to the fact that the woman was half drunk my entire childhood. She was to busy raising her twin daughters tequila and vodka to remember her other daughter. Her real daughter. I think the correct term for a woman like her is birth giver. I like to think of her as a memory, yes a memory.
You know in the movies when they show short clips at different prospective and all you see is the characters laughing and smiling while a Peter Gabriel song plays.
Yes. that's how I would like to think of all of my 15 adolescent years. when people ask me about my past, I only play the happy moments in my head. Some call it a coping methods, most might say it's me suppressing my feeling, but honestly, it's just so much more easier remembering the few good than the endless bad.
