STILL FEBRUARY 4, 2011 FRIDAY

I raced down to the modeling agency on the bottom floor. When I got there, out of breath, I said, "I'm here to see Ms. Denise Storm."

"One second. Name?" The receptionist asked.

"Brenna Taylor. My appointment is for 2:00 pm" I noticed her name plate said "Alice"

"Okay. Ms. Storm, there's a Brenna Taylor here to see you," she said into the intercom.

"Send her in," a voice I assumed was Denise Storm said.

"Alright Ms. Storm. Go to room 208. It's the third door on the left," she said, pointing towards the hallway behind her.

"Thank you," I walked to the room and knocked on the door.

"Come in!"

I opened the door and saw a middle-aged woman sitting in the middle of the room, back towards me.

"You're late," she said, turning her chair to face me.

"Yeah, about that," I said, walking in and sitting on the couch.

"Yes?" she expectantly asked.

"Well, last night I almost had a nervous breakdown because I keep getting rejected from every agency I visit, just because I have two tattoos! Just two of 'em! Then, my reason for even coming out here- my sister - comes up in a conversation with an old woman on the bus!" by this time I was pacing back and forth. "So, you know, I was about to freaking lose my mind-" and life, "-when the perfect stranger- well he's not really a stranger- walks into my apartment. He helped me through my rough time, even gave me SOME hope that I'm not worthless. And so he treated me to a day out, just to keep my mind off of the bad things. It worked, but I completely almost forgot about this! I'm sorry, but if you can't accept me the way I am, right now, then I'll just be on my way."

She stared at me for a few moments then said, "Sit."

"Yes?"

"I think you've got just the right attitude; fearless, spunky, and driven. Congratulations, you got the job," she smiled.

"I-I-I- Are you serious?"

"Yes darling. While I was waiting for you, I flipped through your portfolio. You have just the kind of look that we're looking for!" Go talk to Alice about your schedule and pay and such, "

"OHMYGAWD, THANKYOUTHANKYOU!!" I shouted, running over to hug her.

"Whoa there, ha ha ha. You're welcome. Now I'll just get Alice," she said as she dialed the number.

*KNOCK KNOCK* "Ms. Storm? You wanted to see me?" Alice asked, clearly afraid.

"Yes, show Brenna her new contract and things of the sort. She's going to be with us for a while," she chuckled.

"Alright," she said as we went out to the front office where I filled out some paperwork and got my first check. As soon as I was out of there I squealed and screamed and danced around in a circle. I thought, I should call Andy!

"ANDY! YOU'LL NEVER BELIEVE IT!" I screeched, running outside.

"What? Did pigs actually learn to fly?"

"No, but I got booked!"

"Oh my god, congratulations! Do you want to celebrate?"

"Uh, yeah! Pick me up around 7:30?" I asked, racing the 8 blocks it was to my apartment building.

"Sure, see you then!" Andy sounded kind of embarrassed. I hope I didn't do anything wrong.

I reached my apartment, peeled off my clothes and hopped into a nice, relaxing, hot shower. I started humming "We Stitch These Wounds" as I cleaned my arms. Heh, makes perfect sense! I'm not saying I cut again. I just cleaning up the old cuts.

After my shower I went to my closet and picked out this one red dress that my dad had bought me for graduation. I hadn't got to wear it yet. I went into the bathroom to do ny makeup when there was a knock at the front door.

"Hey, Brenna I'm here!" Andy yelled.

"I'll be out in a minute!" I yelled back.

"1...2...3...4...5..."

"Not literally! Okay, I'll be out in a sec," I said, slipping on some black heels.

"Hey," I said, opening the door

"W-whoah. You l-look great!" He stammered.

"Thanks," I blushed. "Should we get going?"

"Y-yeah, come on," he said, leading me down to his car.

"So, where are we going?"

"You'll see."

"Ughh! I hate surprises!"

"Awwe, well isn't that a shame?" he joked.

"Shuddup!" I shoved him playfully.

"Oh, look. We're here!" He said as we pulled up to a fancy restaurant.

"Whoa, this looks pretty expensive," I said as we walked in.

"Well, you just got booked! What would you like? You wanna go down to Tony's Pizza instead?"

"No, this is great!"

"Biersack, table for two?" He made reservations? What a guy!

"Oh yes, right this way,"

We sat down at a very fancy table where we spent the next two hours eating and talking. Later, when he dropped me off at home, he hugged me for just a little longer than before. I took in his scent of cologne mixed with tobacco and mint.

I think I'm falling for him.
