You sighed as you stared at your computer screen while comparing the data in the computer with the printed paper in your hand.

You reached out to take your coffee but suddenly the door bursted open, causing you to knock the plastic cup over. Luckily, you decided to drink with a straw instead of opening the lid, so the coffee didn't spill to your table.

You looked up to see your co-worker who was also your bestfriend, Hoseok.

Hoseok, the cheerful guy plus the moodmaker who was loved by everybody and got the nickname 'sunshine' because he spreaded happiness and positive energy.

But today, you were having a bad mood and his bright smile didn't make you feel better.

You rolled your eyes. "What do you want?"

"I want.. to visit you!"
He smiled from ear to ear.

You spun your chair and faced the computer again.
"I have to finish this by 11 so if you don't mind, leave me alone and mind your own business."

Instead of getting upset or leaving, he rested his arms on your chair and leaned forwards.

"What is that?"
He looked at your computer screen and the paper in your hand.
"Ooh.. report."

"Is that more important than me?"
You could see him pout from the corner of your eyes.

You didn't reply.

"Y/n.. come on, take a break. You should-"

"No." You snapped.

"Let's buy doughnuts."
You ignored him.

"Coffee?"
You pointed at the coffee at the side of your table which was knocked over by you because of him.

"Hmm.. right. You got one."

He lifted his arms from your chair and walked away.

You thought he was going to leave but nope, you were wrong. He dragged a chair and it made some screeching noise which made you flinch. Then he sat in front of you.

He folded his arms on the table as he showed you his bright smile. He kept staring at you and it made you get distracted.

"Stop.." you mumbled and furrowed your eyebrows as you looked at him.

He kept smiling at you with his eyes full of hope. He bit his bottom lip and stretched out his hand to grab something on your table. You looked to your side and saw that he snatched your coffee away.

He sipped it and you sighed in annoyance.

He hummed.
"This tastes good. What coff-"

He scrunched up his nose as his eyes landed on the reddish pink stain on the tip of your straw.

"Ew.. lipstick stains!"

You snatched the cup from Hoseok's hand.
"Hey, stop it!"

You placed it at the side of your table and your blood began to boil as he kept distracting you from finishing your work.

"Did you really finish your work that fast so that you have nothing to do now? Go do something useful!"

He looked down.
"Okay then, I'll be back when you finish your work."

He left and you sighed. You had few more pages to type and you only had less than an hour to finish it.

Ten minutes before the due time, you had rushed to the elevator and to go to the top floor where your boss' office was located at.

You knocked the door three times and opened it, greeting your boss as he spun around to see who was coming.

He smiled as he looked at the printed papers, saying that you did great and everything handled by you was well organized. You sighed in relief, knowing that he wouldn't say that if he knew that you came very late this morning.

"Okay, now y/n, please organize these papers and print the files I have sent, I need them on my table latest this afternoon at 3."

He stood up and fixed his tie before patting your shoulder and walking out.

You knew it was wrong to peek at your boss' schedule paper on his table since he just told you to organize the papers on the other table but you were really curious. You kinda regretted that you put an effort to read the small printed letters which looked like the printer ran out of ink when it was printed and it only stated that he had a meeting.

You started doing unimportant things such as staring at the air conditioner which was put on the swing mode, checking what was under the carpet under your boss' guest sofa, looking into the water dispenser hoping to see some insects floating but there were none, and more.

You needed a break.

You quickly organized the papers and checked your phone which was running out of battery. You decided to go back to your office room and charge your phone.

You were just about to sit when suddenly the door bursted open and sunshine blinded your eyes.

"Someday the door will break if you keep doing that!"
You said coldly as you massaged your temples and adjusted your sitting position.

"Sorry.."
Then he brightened up again.
"Do you wanna go out and eat lunch together?"

You shook your head and covered your face with your hands as you breathed heavily.

"You'll get sick if you skip lunch. There's a new res-"

"Shut up and leave me alone!"
You snapped.

There was silence for a while before you felt a pair of arms around you. The warmth relaxed you a bit before he spun you around and placed his hands on your shoulders.

"You have something in mind." He said. "You will feel better if you share."

You hesitantly nodded and he kneeled down beside you.

"It's the worst day ever!"
You let out a loud sigh before started ranting.
"My alarm clock was broken so I woke up really late. I missed the bus. When I arrived here, my boss immediately gave me tasks. You came here and annoyed me when the deadline was just in few hours. When I gave him the papers, he gave me another task."

"I'm sorry.."
Hoseok said.
"But you can see the positive things. Such as being late and not getting scolded by your boss. No one even knew that you came late, not even me."

You nodded.

"You are your boss' favourite worker. You always finish your tasks before the deadline and they are very well organized. Isn't that good?"

You thought for a while. What Hoseok said was exactly the same with what your boss think about you.

"And your boss wouldn't give you many tasks if he didn't trust you. So it means he believes that you can handle everything."

"Yeah, you're right, Hoseok. I'm sorry, I'm just stressed over work."
You closed your eyes and inhaled deeply.

"Don't worry. You know I'm always here if you need a shoulder or someone to share your problems."

"Thankyou.."

"Let's eat."
He looked at you with googly eyes.

You chuckled.
"Okay."

After both of you had lunch, you chatted and spent time together because both of you had finished the tasks.

But suddenly you remembered about the file you had to print.

"Oh no! I still have to print the file! What time is it?"

"2.30." Hoseok said. "When is the deadline?"

"3 o'clock." You checked the file that your boss had sent.

Hoseok smirked and winked.
"Go and do it quickly, boss' favourite worker."
