1 WEEK AFTER EVACUATION OF DETROIT

CONNOR POV

The elevator flies quickly up through the apartment, doors opening as soon as I reach the roof

"My first mission. Daniel, the deviant who was threatening to kill himself and the girl." Connor thinks

Connor has a flashback to the rooftop when Daniel shot him at the window

"Daniel. I'm sorry. I couldn't save you." Connor says out loud
"It pisses me off that androids don't need sleep" Hank says catching up

Connor and Hank look around the apartment, abandoned during the evacuation of Detroit

"So this is your first mission huh?" Hank says as he looks out the balcony
"Yes. The deviant named Daniel, he was threatening to jump off with a little girl. I saved her, but Daniel was killed in the action." Connor says flipping his coin
"Captain Allen, that scumbag, was here too right? Fuckin' prick couldn't even do it himself." Hank says encouraging Connor

Connor goes out to the edge of the balcony and stands there, looking down on the empty streets of Detroit

"The evacuation of Detroit is under immediate  demand. Buses are running around Detroit, please find your nearest bus." The radio on the kitchen counter repeats
"Hank. Do you ever regret the things you've done?" Connor inquired sorrowful
"Every time I exist." Hank responds

Connor and Hank laugh, and Connor turns to Hank

"But really though. Don't you wish it would be easier to just go back and fix your mistakes?" Connor says seriously
"Mistakes are what make people alive. It's what shapes them who they are. We're supposed to learn from our mistakes, and make ourselves better." Hank responds

Connor walks away from the edge and back inside as Hank follows. They head back to the elevator to go meet with Markus later on

"I wish I was deviant sooner. Maybe Daniel would've lived." Connor states as the elevator doors close.

MARKUS POV

Markus stands outside Jericho, looking at the android bodies being taken out

"Too many bodies have been spilt over our cause." Josh says next to Markus
"It could've been more." North responds
"God even after we survive you still manage to argue with each other." Markus says while turning to them

Simon comes up to the three, clothes shagged and dirty

"That's all of the bodies in Jericho." Simon says wiping dust off him
"Let's go." Markus says, leading the four
"So Markus, you're practically the leader of the androids, what's your next plan?" Simon asks
"Get recognition from Congress as a new intelligent life on Earth. Then who knows from there." Markus says

Markus holds North's hand as they cross through Jericho

"The humans say they'll recognize us, but still so many of them want nothing but us dead." North states
"Cheer up North, not all of them are like that. Those that are will eventually learn to accept us." Markus says
"If they don't?" North says

Markus remains silent as they make it to the top of the ship

"Let's do it." Simon cheerfully says

Markus gets on top and sees the invited journalists and androids at the bottom of the ship

"WE ARE ALIVE! AND NOW, FREE!" Markus says, planting the flag of the androids

Cheers and whistles fall below Josh, Simon, Markus and North, as they go back down

"Markus! Markus! Markus!" Many journalists yell as they hope to get their attention

Markus points to one and everyone goes quiet

"Do you believe that Congress will indeed recognize you as an intelligent life, and provide you with a state as your own territory?" The journalist asks
"I'm hoping they will recognize us, if they don't give us the territory, it is understandable." Markus answers

Markus continues answering many questions until he heads off back to meet with someone

KARA POV

Kara walks up the stairs of Rose's brother's house, into the 2nd floor where they're staying

"I made you spaghetti." Kara says handing Alice the food
"Thank you mom." Alice says eating it

Kara goes to walk out, but is stopped by Alice

"Wait, mom please don't leave me." Alice begs
"Ok. I won't." Kara says coming back to Alice

Alice eats in silence as she's rests her head on Kara's shoulder

"Thank you for taking care of me." Alice says
"Of course, why wouldn't I?" Kara says hugging her

Luther comes up after helping Adam chop some wood outside

"Hey Luther!" Kara says hugging him
"Hey dad." Alice says walking up to him
"Alice what are you doing up, you should be sleeping, you're sick." Luther says bringing her back to the bed
"I couldn't sleep, Kara's food smells too good." Alice says

Kara laughs and heads outside with Luther, leaving Alice alone

"Did you get any of the news of Detroit?" Kara asks Luther
"The news is coming on downstairs now." Luther says leading Kara down
"Good morning Rose and Adam!" Kara says quickly, getting to the TV fast

The newscaster comes on as soon as they get there

"Today, Android leader Markus raises the flag of the androids on the ship known as Jericho." The newscaster states

A video of Markus planting the flag is seen and the cheers can be heard

"Mark Shawman is on the scene." The newscaster continues
"Thank you, we are here with over at least 1000 androids watching this event! All waiting for Markus to plant the flag down." Mark says

The newscast continues as Kara and Luther get up to talk to Rose and Adam

"It looks like everything is going well." Kara says sitting on the chair next to Rose
"Markus is a great leader. He's changed the lives of humans and androids alike." Adam says, eating soup

Rose's brother, Liam, comes in to the house

"Hey Liam." Luther says
"Hey Luther, Kara, Adam and Rose." Liam says taking off his jacket
"Did you hear the news?" Rose asks Liam
"Yep, it's crazy, I'm so happy for them." Liam says getting soup from Rose

Rose smiles as Kara and Luther go up to check on Alice, to find her gone
