"Sammie you said you were coming!" Austin screeched. I could see his eyes widening through the computer screen.
"I don't remember that at all," I said sassily, trying to focus on my World War II essay that was due tomorrow.
"Samantha Margaret Cavanall," he said angrily, "you promised."
"Austin there's absolutely no way that I'm going to be able to go," I sighed, finally deciding to just give up on my essay for the time being.
"C'mon pleaseeee," he said, making a cheesy smile and then shifting his laptop over, causing his face to be distorted for a second.
"Austin, it's not going to happen, I'm sorry."
"All the guys were excited to see you, and I was excited, and we were going to have so much fun. What is so important you can't come?" He whined.
"I just can't, okay."
"No, it's not okay. I need one good reason why you can't come." I was silent. I didn't have a reason, at least not a good one. I just wasn't in the mood to sit in a tour bus all summer... even if Austin was my best friend. "You don't have a reason do you!" He said excitedly.
"No I do, just give me the weekend to think of it," I said sarcastically.
"Seriously, Sam. It's going to be so much fun," He said starting to bounce up and down on the bed.
"You swear?"
"I swear on Romo's life." He said crossing his middle finger and his index finger and putting them over his heart.
"You swear on my dead hamster's life?" I asked, laughing.
"Uh yah." I laughed even harder. I heard a door shut and Alex plopping next to Austin on his bed.
"Hey Samantha!" Alex said waving with the cheesiest smile.
"hey Alex!" I waved back.
"Hey I gotta go. You better be packed and ready to jump on the bus tomorrow!" Austin tried to look menacing, but I just rolled my eyes.
"Yeah, yeah. Night loser," I said sarcastically blowing a kiss and rolling my eyes at the screen.
"G'night dork," he answer doing the same actions.
I waved to Alex and hung up.
I sat in my room for a while, desperately trying to focus long enough to write at least a sentence of my essay. I just kept turning and turning around in my desk chair, wondering what's going to happen over the summer. Austin always has a crazy story to tell me when he gets home from either recording or hanging out wih his friends. I'm not crazy. I actually might be the most boring person alive.
I never really understood why how Austin and I became friends. We're complete opposites, but maybe that's why it works out. He's always dragging me to parties, and I'm always making him come over and watch movies with me. In all honesty it works out pretty well. Plus, I guess you can't not be friends with someone who's been sharing his crayons with you since Pre-K (not in a dirty way you nasties haha).
I zone out of my hard thinking and decide to pack. Overall I do trst Austin and I probably will have a blast since my other best friend, Molly, is coming too.
After I finish packing what seems like my whole closet, I plug headphones in my ears and go to bed. Hopefully going with Austin on tour is a good choice.
