"So let me get this straight,"mom started.

"So you mean to tell me that you guys had broken up over that dumb girl emily?"she asked and I was offended by what she called emily.

"Emily is not dumb! She is my best friend!"I yelled.

I told her I was going to the carnival but I didn't tell her with who. She thought I went by myself.

If she found out I went with emily and her father, I'd be dead.

"Well I think she is just a brat,"mom said and I didn't say anything. I just walked to my room completely upset.

I can't believe she would call emily a brat. I think emily is sweet, caring, helpful and so many other things.

I was talking to my dad.

"So dad do you think mom is doing okay?"I asked.

"Yes I think so,"he replied and went to make dinner.

But then I got a text from an unknown person.
