Mysterious shadows of the woods, full moon night, weird noises crawling down my spine as i walked. The same woods which drowns my sleep every night...
Something was different about it, it seemed more alive, as if it was trying to pass me a message. It seemed as if i know this place so well that i actually knew each of my footsteps for where it was taking me.... the cave...
The soft hustle of the dense grass and weed as i, without fear walked to my fate. Something felt really different...
I heard the snap of something at a distance, probably a wood as if someone has stepped on it... i quickly turned around but nobody caught my eye... it was just the dense trees smiling with pride... After a few steps, i caught a glimpse of shadow again lurking behind... this time i started to run, sprinting as fast as i could with no idea where i was heading towards...
A couple of minutes passed away and i was breathing heavily, it ached pins and needles on my side... i kept on running until i came to the peek of a waterfall.. i halted to catch my breath. The sound of an angry mob than filled the air. I looked beyond from where i stood panting... a small village could be seen, the beam of moonlight and the light of fire which they held in a stick. Screams, anger & pain .... something was going on.
Slowly, i made my way down and headed towards the sound very cautiously. I was soon close enough to the crowd but still i was unable to spot for what the commotion was about... what's going on i asked myself...
More anger, baffled words but still not managed to figure out what were they saying... the crowd was heading towards the dense woods, where at a distance i hid myself behind a huge rock to hide my presence.
"I am not a SACRIFICE, let go of me".... the painful shriek, that sound, that voice, the pain, the anguise... i have heard it before... the only sound i could clearly hear...
The crowd entered the woods, so much anger and suffering... people's old fashioned draped clothes, the flame from the torch, submerged voices drowned the entire woods. I shifted slowly from where i hid to see whose voice was it... voice which have always haunted me...
I crawled my way hiding behind trees and soon managed to get a good place to have a clear view from... High shrieks again, rather painful and hurt... crying... begging... everyone went a blur and i just concentrated on the sound and trying to see the person...
Wrapped with barbed wire, blood oozing from the body, clothes torn and drenced in blood, excruciating pain...dragged along by several people, long hair covered the face until one man pulled back her head cruelly...almost a lifeless body...
Than the sight met me as the body raised her head and looked at my direction... i gulped down... She was ME.......
She smiled at my direction almost like a lifeless soul...
Someone gripped me from the back, both hands tightening on my throat, i was not able to scream... the persons hand was quite strong, tightening even more..... My head started to spin, drowning away the darkness....
KIARA ARE YOU OKAY, KIARA!!!!
With hazy eyes i faced Sarah & David staring with a white face.
"Thank God, you are alright. Am never gonna risk your life again in this hypnosis game, i love you so much", Sarah hugged and said tearfully.
I looked over at Dr David, his face as white as a sheet as if just saw death so closely.
"What happened", i asked with my head almost dizzy.
David, passed me a glass of water where i still sat. He took a minute of silence and slowly managed to speak.
When you were hypnotized, something unusual about you happened. We were not able to get your mind to link back in this world. It seemed you were trapped in that world or maybe it was like you were struggling to breath. You were pushing back you legs back and forth, hands forcing to get something of your neck... it was like, we almost lost you... Cutting the connection to that world where your mind just travelled was so tough... i could have risked your life.
My head still had a sharp pain as Sarah took me back home. She explained to my parents that i really have a bad headache and needed to rest.
My phone rang a few times before the battery ran dead and i sat lying on my bed thinking for what just had happened...
The person haunting my dream was ME.......
